The next entry in Cadillac’s rapidly expanding electric vehicle portfolio is coming into focus as the brand releases details and photos of the upcoming Vistiq. Battery and Powertrain Specs

Like the Lyriq, the Vistiq employs a 102-kilowatt-hour battery pack. Unlike the Lyriq, which is available with rear- and all-wheel drive, the Vistiq includes standard AWD. The Vistiq’s dual motors combine to generate a total of 615 horsepower and 650 pounds-feet of torque, increases of 100 hp and 200 pounds-feet over the AWD Lyriq. Cadillac says the Vistiq will accelerate from 0 -60 mph in just 3.7 seconds with Velocity Max, which is a mode that boosts output for brief periods of time.

Weighing in at 6,326 pounds, the Vistiq is almost 500 pounds heavier than an AWD Lyriq. With the extra mass and higher-output motors, Cadillac says the Vistiq’s range will be 300 miles — short of the Lyriq’s best of 319 miles with AWD. Cadillac also says that the new three-row EV can add up to 79 miles of range in 10 minutes on a DC fast charger. Vehicle-to-home bidirectional charging will be available.

Cadillac Luxury in the Electric Age

While Cadillac isn’t sharing details yet about what the Vistiq’s interior is crafted from, the photos show a rich blend of textures, colors and materials. A 33-inch screen spans the dash in front of the driver, incorporating a digital instrument panel and the central touchscreen, with a smaller touchscreen below for the five-zone automatic climate controls. A 23-speaker AKG Studio audio system will be standard, as will Super Cruise, GM’s hands-free semi-autonomous highway driving technology. A panoramic moonroof is standard equipment. The standard wheels measure 21 inches, and 22s and 23s will be available.

Optional features on the Vistiq will include an adaptive air suspension, rear-wheel steering and night vision. Cadillac says the Vistiq will first launch in Luxury, Sport and Premium Luxury trim levels, with a Platinum variant joining the lineup later and bringing “added performance elements” as well as additional exterior and interior color options.
