Vehicles Affected: Approximately 28,800 Babideal Storm booster car seats manufactured on Feb. 28, 2019, and sold exclusively at Family Dollar stores
The Problem: The label attached to the fabric cover may not have the required safety warnings and instructions, which could lead to misuse and injury.
The Fix: Babideal manufacturer Dorel China America will provide a replacement fabric cover that has a compliant warning label in place for free.
What Owners Should Do: Dorel will begin notifying owners Dec. 9. Owners can call the car-seat maker at 877-657-9546, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to learn more. To make sure you’re contacted about recalls, register your car seat.
