Subaru has plenty of plans for this year’s auto-show circuit: It showed off the all-new Ascent three-row crossover at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November and plans to unveil another significant vehicle at the 2018 New York International Auto Show later this month: the 2019 Subaru Forester.

Subaru’s compact SUV was last redesigned for model-year 2014; it got a new multimedia system for 2016 and some light styling tweaks for 2017. Subaru calls the 2019 model “all-new,” but so far, details are slim.
The automaker revealed a teaser image today that signals the Forester will get a more interesting look. The photo is of a taillight that wears a more aggressive, stylized design than the current — conservative-looking — Forester.

The New York auto show will also host the debut of the new 2019 Toyota RAV4, a Forester rival. And like the RAV4, the 2019 Forester takes the stage on March 28; check back for full coverage from the show.
