Detroit Auto Show Evacuated Due to Fire

A fire today at the Audi exhibit at the Cobo Center has caused the Detroit auto show to shut its doors until 5 p.m.

According to witnesses, Audi employees worked hard to move show-goers and show cars away from the flames in an orderly manner. However, despite a haze of smoke throughout the center, attendees milled about in the lobby waiting on details about when they’d get back in.

There is no word on whether attendees will get a refund or tickets to return another day. The show runs through Sunday.
