GM is recalling more than 41,300 Cadillac Lyriq electric SUVs over an issue with the driver video display.

Affected vehicles include model-year 2023-24 Lyriqs. The issue is with the video display control module software, which may malfunction and cause the driver video display to go blank while the vehicle is in motion, resulting in a loss of important safety information like the speedometer and rearview camera image. This increases the risk of a crash.

To fix the issue, the software will be updated by a dealer or via an over-the-air update for free. The brand will notify owners July 14, but those with further questions can contact Cadillac at 800-333-4223 (GM’s number for this recall is N252500680), NHTSA’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or visit its website to check your vehicle identification number and learn more.
