How Much Is the 2026 Toyota C-HR?
Key Points
- The 2026 Toyota C-HR is priced from $38,450 (all prices include $1,450 destination charge).
- Subcompact SUV returns as a powerful electric vehicle
- Standard dual-motor all-wheel drive and 290-mile range
After a three-year hiatus, the Toyota C-HR is back for the 2026 model year. It’s still a subcompact SUV and bears a heavy resemblance to its predecessor, but that’s where the similarities end. Whereas the last C-HR was powered by a wheezy naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, the reborn SUV is a dual-motor EV with 338 horsepower that Toyota says can accelerate from 0-60 mph in around five seconds. It’s a lot more expensive than the 2022 model was, too, but the 2026 Toyota C-HR is also a lot more vehicle and a much nicer one.

Release Date and Pricing
The 2026 Toyota C-HR will go on sale later this year. The base SE trim is priced from $38,450, and the uplevel XSE starts at $40,450.
Trim Levels and Safety Features
The entry-level SE trim rides on 18-inch wheels and boasts rain-sensing windshield wipers and a power liftgate. Its cabin is upholstered in a blend of cloth and synthetic leather and features a power-adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 14-inch touchscreen and two wireless phone chargers. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard on the 2026 C-HR. The automaker’s signature safety suite includes forward collision warning with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-centering steering, lane departure alert and steering assist, road-sign recognition and automatic high beams. Blind spot monitors, front and rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking are also standard.
The XSE adds 20-inch wheels, traffic-jam assist, lane change assist and a 360-degree parking camera. It also upgrades the interior with synthetic leather and suede upholstery, a power-adjustable front passenger seat and driver’s seat memory settings.

Powertrain Specs and MPG
Both the 2026 C-HR’s SE and XSE trims sport dual electric motors for standard AWD. Combined, the motors generate 338 hp, more than double what the gas-powered 2022 C-HR made. Toyota says that will be good for a 0-60 sprint of about five seconds, which seems rather conservative.
The automaker also says that the C-HR’s 74.7-kilowatt-hour battery pack is good for a range of up to 290 miles. With its larger wheels, the XSE’s range will likely come in below that figure, but official EPA-rated estimates are not yet available. On a DC fast charger, the C-HR can replenish its battery from 10% to 80% in around 30 minutes. A standard North American Charging Standard charge port allows the C-HR to use Tesla Superchargers for public fast-charging.
