The new operating system is now able to transfer album, track and artist data via Bluetooth streaming audio or the USB connector, according to 9to5mac.com. The blogger was demonstrating the function via a third-generation Toyota Prius. Sifting through the comments, we noticed that the integration works on some vehicles (some Toyotas) and doesn’t seem to be working on others (like some Fords).
From personal experience, my android smartphone and my BlackBerry have been able to transmit this info to cars for some time via Bluetooth audio streaming. Welcome to the club, Apple!
The new Apple operating system is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1 and 2.
