He was looking for an alternative to a minivan, and so far the SUV seems up to the challenge of handling his wife and two kids. “I wish the mileage was better, but it’s worth the trade-off for the durability needed for upstate New York winters. Most importantly, this Jeep saved my life. A truck lost control in the other lane of a two-lane country road. The other vehicle slid into a ditch, compensated and came straight at us. Because of the high clearance and the ability to manuver off-road, I was able to swerve into a muddy field, quickly switch over to four-wheel drive and avoid being hit head-on by some drunk driver and or a dummy texting while driving. I would have been stuck in a ditch in the mud if it wasn’t for my Jeep.”
