CARS.COM — Subaru is popping the cork for half a century of selling cars in the U.S. with a special 50th-anniversary edition of every vehicle in the 2018 lineup. Based on a higher trim level of each model, the anniversary editions wear an exclusive blue paint job along with special trim finishes, badging and interior accents.

They also will be limited-production models: Subaru will build just 1,050 each of its mainstream Crosstrek, Forester, Impreza, Legacy and Outback, while there will be a combined 1,050 of the sporty WRX, WRX STI and BRZ. Subaru says they’re on sale now — and you can get a load of ’em starting this weekend at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show.
The most obvious distinction for all the vehicles is an exclusive Heritage Blue exterior paint, along with satin chrome exterior trim and badging, and a Subaru of America 50th-anniversary emblem. The interiors all are black with silver contrast stitching (not gold, even though is the golden anniversary), silver seatbelts and the 50th Anniversary logo embroidered on the front seats and the carpet floormats. All but the BRZ get a special alloy wheel, and all but the BRZ, WRX and STI have a satin chrome finish on the side mirrors.
