Think Still Selling Electric Cars in the U.S.

We haven’t heard much from electric upstart Think since its parent company based in Norway went into bankruptcy. Today, Think North America announced it has a new owner and is still selling Think City electric cars out of its Elkhart, Ind., factory.

The City can travel at a top highway speed of 70 mph and have a range of 100 miles. It starts at $35,495 before a $1,000 destination charge. We’re not sure how a car sold at the factory can charge that much for destination, but there it is.

Because of its limited speed and driving experience, the Think doesn’t live up to Nissan’s Leaf, which starts at $32,780. If you can’t find a Leaf, and especially if you’re an Indiana resident where there’s a $10,000 subsidy to buy one, the Think City is an option.

However, it looks like there are only 23 units available at the factory during the company’s end-of-year clearance.
