What’s New for 2025?

For 2025, the Telluride adds safety features, with second-row side-impact airbags and Kia’s Highway Driving Assist 1.5 standard across all trims. Both the X-Line and X-Pro variants now include a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, gloss-black exterior accents and Terracotta-colored leather upholstery. The X-Pro also rides 0.4 inch higher for 2025, and its towing capacity grows to 5,500 pounds, a 500-pound increase.

Trim Levels and Pricing

The 2025 Telluride is available in five trim levels: LX, S, EX, SX and SX-Prestige. The EX and SX-P are both available with either X-Line or X-Pro Packages, and the SX is also available with the X-Line Package. The X-Line Package costs $2,295 on the EX, $1,595 on the SX and $1,295 on the SX-P, while the X-Pro Package is $3,295 on the EX and $2,295 on the SX-P. The LX, S, EX and SX come standard with front-wheel drive; the S, EX and SX can add all-wheel drive for an extra $2,000, while AWD is standard on the SX-P.

Full pricing by trim, including a $1,395 destination fee, is below; changes from 2024 pricing are in parentheses.

  • LX: $37,585 (Unchanged from 2024)
  • S: $40,485 ($1,000 increase)
  • EX: $43,185 (Unchanged)
  • SX: $47,285 ($100 decrease)
  • EX X-Line: $47,480 (Unchanged)
  • EX X-Pro: $48,480 (Newly available for 2025)
  • SX X-Line: $50,880 (Unchanged)
  • SX-P: $52,485 ($200 increase)
  • SX-P X-Line: $53,780 (Unchanged)
  • SX-P X-Pro: $54,780 (Unchanged)

The Telluride’s overall color palette is somewhat muted. The base LX is available in four exterior paint colors; Everlasting Silver and Panthera Metal (dark gray) are no-cost choices, while Ebony Black and Glacial White Pearl are $495 options. The S, EX, SX and SX-P add no-cost Dark Moss and the $495 Midnight Lake Blue. The X-Line and X-Pro replace Dark Moss with Jungle Green and Everlasting Silver with Wolf Gray, a $495 option.

Powertrain Specs and MPG

All 2025 Tellurides are powered by the same 3.8-liter V-6 engine, which makes 291 horsepower and 262 pounds-feet of torque and is paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Tellurides with FWD are EPA-rated at 20/26/22 mpg city/highway/combined, while AWD drops those ratings to 18/23/20 mpg. The X-Pro variants can tow up to 5,500 pounds, while others have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds.

Tech Features

A 12.3-inch touchscreen display is standard in all 2025 Tellurides, with higher trims gaining additional functionality. A digital gauge cluster — also 12.3 inches — is exclusive to the SX and SX-P variants. Wireless device charging is available on all but the LX; the LX and SX also have five USB ports to other versions’ six. Kia’s Digital Key 2.0 Touch feature is standard on the SX and above, but not available on lower trims.

Safety and Driver-Assistance Features

Kia’s Highway Driving Assist 1.5 is now standard on all trims; the hands-on system combines adaptive cruise control with lane-centering steering. The SX and above get HDA 2.0, which adds an automatic lane-change function. Kia’s Drive Wise suite of safety features is also standard on all trims, with higher trims adding additional functionality. The SX and SX-P also come with Kia’s blind spot camera system that turns on when a turn signal is activated and displays an image in the gauge cluster of the blind spot on the corresponding side of the vehicle.

The 2024 Telluride is an Insurance Institute of Highway Safety Top Safety Pick+ designee; the 2025 model has not yet been evaluated. A 2024 model also received solid scores in our Car Seat Check testing, though it only managed a C grade for a booster seat in the third row — and it tied for last place in car-seat testing during a comparison test. While we have not yet evaluated a 2025 model, it’s likely the same scores will apply.

Should You Buy a 2024 or 2025 Kia Telluride?

The 2024 Telluride was a very solid entrant in the competitive three-row SUV segment, finishing in the middle of the pack in our latest comparison of the class. It’s also our pick for Best Family Car of 2024. The 2025 model retains all of the 2024’s strengths while adding improved standard safety features across all trim levels, upscale tech and better towing capabilities in higher trim levels. With minimal, if any, price increases on most trim levels, the 2025 Kia Telluride makes more sense than a 2024.
