Powertrain Specs and MPG
The Corsair’s two more affordable trim levels, the Premiere and Reserve, are powered by a 250-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 275 pounds-feet of torque. Backed by an eight-speed automatic transmission, it comes standard with FWD; AWD is available on both trim levels for an additional $2,300. With this engine, the FWD Corsair returns an EPA-rated 22/30/25 mpg city/highway combined; the AWD version is rated at 21/28/24 mpg.
The Corsair Grand Touring is exclusively available with a PHEV powertrain that pairs a naturally aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric motor for a combined system total of 266 hp. The PHEV system is mated to a continuously variable automatic transmission and standard AWD; it boasts a 27-mile electric range and returns 33 mpg combined once the gas engine fires up.
