Cars.com is looking for a talented and motivated student to be a part of our People Team. The intern will be responsible for a variety of project work with the overall goal of helping the talent team meet its ongoing goals. The intern will gain valuable experience and exposure to the direct hire process and other facets of human resources. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about digital marketing, recruiting, and are excited about the idea of helping build our brand.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Help expand our social and marketing presence through research and content calendar creation.
  •  

  • Ongoing management of an events calendar
  •  

  • Tracking reviews and other social listening for trends on our performance
  •  

  • Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skill, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
  •  

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility.
  •  

  • Coordinate communication with candidates and team members.
  •  

  • Mine online databases and other resources
  •  

  • Assist in scheduling interviews and phone screens through Microsoft Outlook
  •

Required Experience

 

  • Full- or part-time student status (graduate or undergraduate, with a strong interest in the human resources field)

  • An understanding of recruiting and/or interest in recruiting is a big plus.
  •  

  • Strong Internet awareness and savvy
