About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since August 2003.
In 1945 J W Wakefield moved to Spartanburg from Columbia to reopen the Buick franchise which was closed during WWII . GM had closed many dealerships at that time because there were not enough cars to go around as all the factories had been retooled for the war effort. With him came his partner and son Bill. Together they began what is now the oldest dealership in Spartanburg.
Over the years a Jeep Opel and a DeLorean franchise were added yet later sold. The markets were up and down but Buicks were their mainstay. By the mid 50s they had grown into a household name and by the 70s their market share grew to almost 1 of every 5 cars sold.

Oil/filter change

The dude who greeted us was about as warm and welcoming as a brick?. Not impressed at all there - the waiting room was ok. The lube tech was finished in about 30 min or so?

2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT

Truck been in shop since Dec 14th 2022 due to some engine problems , currently diagnosed the issue with major problems .. service Dept has been exceptionally helpful .. with it being under warranty they have issue a rental . The service manager has kept me informed on the situation and somewhat given a timeline .. That’s something that hasn’t been nailed down and I’m ok with it .. Now hoping everything is back to normal once completed .. no issue come up with other components of the truck Communication has been 5star Attention to detail has been 5 star Returns phone call 5 star Highly recommended 5star Mr. Coffey has been very good at what he does and the mechanic that’s supplying the information

The best experience you could hope for :-)

While I do not usually write reviews must say that Christine,my service advisor knows her business and is very professional. Wakefield is like a family. You can talk to all there up to and including Jay Wakefield. It was so easy to schedule, understand what needed to be. done and feel comfortable all will happen. It did happen just as planned.
