    I have previously purchased vehicles at Bobby Layman and feel that I've always been treated very well. I have also purchased vehicles at other dealerships... and have felt that I was wasting their time. On this occasion I was trading in two vehicles and purchasing one. I explained what my goals were in lowering my payments along with what kind of vehicle I was needing ( a truck). Jared listened and I came home with a 2016 GMC Sierra, Z71 SLT with all the options I would like to have but never thought I could afford. I have always had a good experience with the salesmen and woman along with the service department at this dealership I would definitely recommend to anyone which I have my mother purchased a GMC Envoy there.

    My review would be zero stars if possible due to Lisa Gillespie the finance manager. She lied to me to secure me into the extended warrenty under the... pretenses that if I wanted to cancel to lower my payments that would be an option, however when I call to do that she lied and became rude and became defensive. She took what could have been a positive experience with Bobby Layman and turned it into one of the most frustrating disappointing car buying experience in my life as long as the financial manager is crooked and still employed I would never recommend Bobby Layman to anyone and I am seriously in discussions with my lawyer to see what we can do to have the tape that she said was available reviewed at the time of siging the buyer agreement

    Buyer beware!!! Bobby Layman was my worst car buying experience ever! I purchased a used vehicle and the engine quit after 2 months. They were supposed... to check the timing belt on it prior to me taking possession as part of our as-is agreement (which was noted on our paperwork). They either didn't do it, adjusted it incorrectly, or missed the problem completely because after taking it to a reputable dealer, the diagnosis was engine failure due to timing. Now they refuse to give me a copy of the service records so I can see what was done with the timing. As soon as I started asking questions, they went silent. What are they hiding? All I wanted was some help with the engine replacement charges and everything would have been good. To make matters worse, I discovered paperwork from the previous owner in the glovebox that showed diagnosed engine problems and recommended $5,000 of engine work, which the owner denied. Watch out for these crooks! They put known bad vehicles on their lot. Would not recommend anyone to purchase vehicles from them. I wish I had read some of the other feedback on Bobby Layman before I made my mistake. Hopefully this will serve as a warning to others.

    Sent my white title to the wrong address then told me it was my problem and I had to pay to get the new one myself. They also sold me a car with bad wheel... bearings and didn’t want to fix it either

    I have been dealing with car dealers for a very long time and this is by far the worst! Mr. Frank is extremely rude, unprofessional and a racist!!! I called... to make inquiries about a land rover and because I had an accent this man automatically insinuated that I am a thief. He was asking that I send a picture of my ID to proof myself and that he wanted to send it to the FBI. Why do I have to proof myself to make an inquiry about a car? I am extremely disappointed and feel insulted by this. I find it difficult to imagine that in this day and age such people still exist. I tried multiple times to report this to the manager without any reponse! I would strongly recommend you look for other dealerships to buy your vehicle.

    This was a nice place to buy a used car. They let me test drive the car on my own. They provided all of the information I asked for. They were reasonable... when it came to negotiating the final price. My biggest critique is that when it came to doing the paperwork, they pushed pretty hard to sell several types of additional coverage. Be strong and direct with your position and they pretty quickly reduced the prices of the coverages. Overall this was generally a good experience. Also Licking County has a relatively low sale tax especially if you’re coming from Columbus. The drive is definitely worth the effort.

    I had searched several dealerships and discovered that the used inventory at this dealer is far better than most. The staff and GM are all very well informed... and delivered what they represented including a reasonable trade in allowance. Overall awesome experience!
