Booked car for service for 12 pm. Told ready at 2 pm. I waited till 2.15pm and walked to service centre. Car had not been moved from morning. They said... had problem and hadn’t got to my car. My complaint is why not at 1pm when they knew would not be ready call me and explain and give options. No I just sat in a cafe for 2.5 hrs and 1 hr drive. xxxx poof
We moved to South Carolina with our Sequoia...early 2000, and that is where our relationship with Ralph Hayes began. They serviced our Sequoia for years,... and currently they service our Lexus RX350. A few days ago we purchased a 2019 Toyota 4Runner, and of course Ralph Hayes will service our 4Runner too. We had a very significant, at least to me, thing that happened that started our journey to purchase a new vehicle. Back in February 2019, we had purchased a certified used BMW. When the time came for my first service, I phoned the BMW dealership to schedule an appointment - receptionist answered and transferred me back to service...no one answered. After 15 minutes of the phone ringing in service, the receptionist came back on the line and I asked her to take my contact information to give to service so service could phone me at their convenience. Service never phoned. Second day, I phoned again...service never answered after reception sent me back. Third day, I got on the BMW website and started the "chat" service in order to schedule my appointment. Because I had always received exceptional service from Ralph Hayes Toyota, I was completely shocked at the lack of service from BMW. I told my husband I could not keep the BMW...we traded in the BMW for our new 4Runner. I have extensive experience with the service department at Ralph Hayes, and now I have experience with buying a car at Ralph Hayes. If you want the best in customer service go to Ralph Hayes Toyota.
We went to Ralph Hayes Toyota to look for a used truck for my husband and a new 4Runner for myself. We walked up to someone on the lot and tried to ask... them if they had what we were looking for. His name was Harry. As soon as we said the word "used", he quickly responded that they didn't have what we were looking for and walked away. He left us standing there. He didn't even let us finish what we were asking. We were very disappointed. We will not be returning to this dealership.
There are two facets to this dealership: 1) Sales and 2) Service. Most reviews I've read laud the sales team. I bought my certified Toyota elsewhere, so... I'm not qualified to comment on that. However, my experiences with the service team reveal some serious problems up front and in the garage. I don't know if part of the customer service rep compensation involves commissions, but it looks that way. Minor issues were represented as catastrophes requiring major expense (one resolved as a free service elsewhere). Unnecessarily more expensive alternatives were implemented without my consent. Discussion around these issues was met with animosity, and intentionally poor service. The problems in the garage bounce back and forth between lack of skill and/or lack of integrity. It's become hard to tell the difference anymore. If you go here for service, keep your eyes wide open.
Wish I could give no stars. 4 times in service for the same issue. Never fixed it. Told to go somewhere else and they would pay for it. Seriously?

Ben Moran and the Salesman Mike were able to get me the exact 4runner that I wanted with the options I was looking. I was very pleased with the managers... after we had a little issue come up they went above and beyond to fix the problem. Thank you, Mike, Ben, Bunky, and all the others involved in this purchase. If you are looking to buy a Toyota this is the place to go!
Bought a "new" used Camry from Blake at Ralph Hayes. Blake called me back promptly with prices and offers. We negotiated, and discussed, and finally... reached a wonderful agreement. Super friendly people, efficient process, and willing to deal with me so I would be very pleased. Great job!! This is the fourth car we have bought from them and proves that we will continue to be their patron.
Our experience was very pleasant. Bill Berry is our Salesman and was most helpful, showing us the vehicles, explaining features with patience and courtesy.... Upon our decision to buy, he followed through with continued help and interest in our needs as well as always courteous. He was the best salesperson we've ever had in buying a car.
