I filled out a credit application online and spoke with Edwardo as a salesman to purchase a 2018 Honda Accord Hybrid from out of state. First, he told... me I would have to come into the dealership to purchase. I told him I have purchase my last three vehicles from out of state. I asked to speak with a manager and was told one would call me back. A week later, and I still have not received a call. I followed up today to be told the same thing; a manager would call me back. I stated I didn’t want to wait another week. I was put on hold and then told I would need a 800 score to finance a vehicle. I am already pre-approved at two other dealers, this dealership just had better pricing. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with when buying a vehicle. BUY SOME WHERE ELSE.
Well I hope you didn’t think this review wasn’t coming! Long story short: It’s shady people that work here. Spend your money elsewhere. If you need... Specific info: keep away from the Assistant Sales Manager, Rafael Aguirre. On February 13, 2020 I went to this establishment to purchase a car. I was already financed through my bank before I came to Airport Marina Honda and found a couple cars that I liked online. Although I communicated with a salesman named William, I was transferred to a salesman named Fidel because William was busy. Both of these gentlemen were kind to me. Fidel worked with me for about an hour on finding a car that I’d like and we test drove a 2016 Honda Civic EX-T. I fell in love with the car and had enough financing to get it so I was ready to get the ball rolling. The problem arose when they wanted to know how much I was financed for. I refused to give them the max amount and told them that my bank works with their dealership to be able to fast track the money to them. We were trying to get the numbers right (I’m not a fan of being overcharged or having premium accessories that they deem “necessary” added to my total) This is where the rude xxx manager, Rafael comes into the picture. FROM THE MOMENT HE MET ME, he had an attitude. I told Fidel that I did not want to work with Rafael because he had poor customer service and seem like he didn’t really want to work with me in the first place. After getting the required paperwork for my bank to officially loan me the money, Rafael decided that HE did not want to do the fast track option with my bank although the option was available and left my bank representatives confused and told me that I would have to go to the bank to pick up the check. At this time it was around 3:30. In order for me to pick up the check from my bank, they had to print a purchase order for me. It took them OVER AN HOUR to print the purchase order! Finally at 4:55 it’s printed and I rush half a mile away through traffic to get to the bank. They were closing because it was 5pm but accommodated me (I really love them!). I came back to the dealership and handed Fidel the check. He came back with a form to run my credit and said I had to fill it out so they know who I am. I refused. I wasn’t allowing them to run my credit when I have a valid government issued drivers license. Because I wouldn’t allow them to run my credit through their banks, Rafael came over, handed me my check and told me that I could no longer buy the car because someone else was there to purchase the vehicle. My ride had left me there because Fidel told both of us that they were washing the car and getting the rest of the paperwork together for me. So at this point, I had been at the dealership for 6 hours, had my bank print out a check made to Airport Marina Honda which meant I had to void the entire loan, I was temporarily stranded and I was leaving without a car. The entire time they are telling me how it’s legal because they are ran by lawyers. Legal? possibly. Ethical? NOT! But there is a silver lining. The very next day, I found the same car at another dealership except it was a year newer with only 11k miles on it. I financed the same amount as I would’ve with this place. So maybe this was the universe telling me that the unethical acts of this dealership were a blessing. Regardless, I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my enemy. F*xx them.
Our last sales experience was outstanding from start to finish. The Airport Marina Honda Sales Team was able to meet our needs from start to finish. Terrance... has been our go to Sales Consultant since 2009. He has such a vast knowledge of the product he represents and makes our family feel very special. We were also pleased with Team Leader LB and Finance Manager Frank. We love our new 2012 CRV- EXL with RES!!!!!
Worst dealer ever, look at their service department yelp page which is separate from the actual dealer yelp page. They lost a loyal customer (with good... credit and who paid their car off in a year) they perform poor service on cars (also they never put mats down and leave dirt in my car every time I get an oil change) and the most recent service, which was an oil change resulted in my engine cover/skid plate coming loose in the front while I was on the freeway doing 70 MPH on the way to San Francisco at 1 in the morning!! The whole front of the plate was scraping the freeway until I could find civilization and ended up with the whole front of it in shards. I had to pull over and use duct tape several times to get me through the next few hours to San Francisco safely. (Not good as a woman in the middle of the night.) Honda San Francisco said that the screws that were put in by Airport Marina Honda were NOT secure and that’s what made the plate pop out and the front to rip up on the freeway. While I was at Honda of San Francisco, I called Airport Marina Honda and was promised by Marc that if I got it fixed I’ll be REIMBURSED or if I didn’t get it fixed by SF Honda, I can bring it back to Airport Marina and they will fix it for FREE. This was not the case, airport Marina Honda ended up blaming an OLD impact as the reason that the screws came out! (Am impact that was way before my last oil change and probably even before the one before that) what a horrible practice. They didn’t see this damage has been on my car for over six months (I actually brought the car to them when this impact he happened because my driver side airbag malfunctioned at the time and I needed it foxed to be able to use my seatbelt) and the damage was not even close proximity to cause the screws to pop out resulting in the damage that happened. After going in circles with the manager (who didn’t even see the damage to the whole front end of the plate and she didn’t care to look) and several of their associates I give up and I will take my business elsewhere. She didn’t even see the damage with the screws out which would’ve shown her how bad it was tattered and not just one side as she was making up in her head. I even have pictures (again she doesn’t care about the actual damage to the WHOLE thing.. not just one side like she made up in her head to be not liable) Not that they care about losing my business...because they have a fool that they can con every day. One day they’ll screw over the wrong person who won’t be willing to take their half xxx attempt to get out of fixing it. If a dealer is going to fight THIS hard over $151, and permanently lose a customer (who generates more than $151) that says A LOT about them. Truly pathetic way to treat a long time customer.
What I liked most about my experience at the Airport Marina Honda dealership was the understanding and helpful staff. From beginning to end, Fidel and... the rest of the Honda family took care of our needs and provided excellent customer service!
