This was my 2nd time to visit for service. Even with a change in service advisor, I was very satisfied from the time I was greeted until the time I paid... and departed. I received helpful and timely information throughout the appointment, I found Andrew Yi to be very pleasant and very professional. My only complaint is that the waiting area seemed chilly.

Typical dealership experience: I bought a new highlander from World Toyota in 2016. I took it in for a 40K maintenance (my first scheduled maintenance... after the warranty expired), which I scheduled online and which said would cost $76 (mostly oil change and tire rotation). When I got there, they told me I would need new brakes, which cost $400, and new windshield wipers (BOGO) for $20. So I expected a bill of about $500. Imagine my surprise when it was well over $800. When I balked, the service attendant (Chris) said "well, I'm just going by your history. That's what your car needed" and could give me no other explanation for why the charge was higher than $500, or why he had not asked permission before performing extra services. Chris then told me, for the first time, that my car had required an alignment, but never could explain if that cost $300, or what additional "services" made up that amount (and of course, the receipt is 4 pages long and I can't begin to follow it).He seemed to be completely unaware of the online prices, and couldn't look up to verify that the online quote when I booked was $76 . I was late for a meeting and so explained I thought the price was wrong and that he hadn't given me a good explanation for the charges, but I had to leave so I paid the bill. Later the same day I wrote Chris (responding to an email HE sent ME, and which was a direct email address and not a "do not reply" address), explaining that upon review of my bill, I was unhappy, thought I'd been double-charged for some items, and asked that a manager give me a call. I heard nothing from the attendant (Chris) or his manager. I bought the car there, and took it there exclusively for 3 years for service, but now that my warranty has expired, they've shown me exactly how they do business. And they've lost a customer. We are now shopping for a car for my daughter and will not look at World Toyota. (I don't know why my profile says San Francisco; I live in Atlanta).
