We bought used Santa Fe on July 23rd. The salesman’s name...

We bought used Santa Fe on July 23rd. The salesman’s name was Will . We test drove the vehicle and there was 12 miles left in the gas tank and we were afraid to run out so we didn’t go far. We get back and they just laugh and shrug off the low gas in the car but after that is when we should have walked away. When negotiating price we were told we have to pay for some valuguard protection for the interior, a “new car” warranty on a Certifed used car, VIN etching and a “recertification fee”. We did not want any of the fees or warranties we just wanted the car and the benefits that came along with a certified used Hyundai vehicle. We were told that all those fees were non negotiable but after some back and forth we were able to get them removed except for the recertification fee which if you ask me is bogus. We finally get to a price and I told the salesman we are good on that price as long as all the extra fees were removed and the trade in would be deducted from that set price so let’s say it was $33,000 and we had a $4,000 trade in we were guaranteed by the salesman multiple times that all extra fees were removed and that the $4,000 would be deducted from the $33,000 giving us an out the door price of $29,000. We agreed to that signed a paper and let them run my credit. Low and behold he comes back with the monthly price and it’s not even close to our expectations. We asked to see the breakdown and he takes us back to the used sales manager Tim to review. Valugard and VIN etching were still included and the actual Out the door was $33,000 after our $4,000 trade in. Complete opposite of what we agreed to.Tim then asks what they can do and I told him to do the original deal we agreed to and he laughed and said he’s not doing that. Honestly that was so disrespectful in our eyes for him to laugh at us and I feel like we were bait and switched. Will the salesman did admit that he did tell us the original deal which good on him it could have been easy for him to not take responsibility. We eventually negotiated the additional fees off but every time we did Tim was frustrated.We get home and I try to put it behind me because we did get a great car and it was close to the price we wanted. Comes time for us to get our title and all other paperwork so we can take it to the DMV. Guess what the title and all other paperwork get lost in the mail. I can’t blame them for that but what I can be upset about is the fact when I spoke to both finance managers about this they told me for a month straight that they would figure it out. So after 4+weeks of being told “oh it will be here next week”. They told me after all this time that Capital One gave them wrong information and that I need to call and request the duplicate title. After being told for a month+ they were handling it I get this dropped on me. At one point one finance guy told me that their finance team had all the documents and would be sending it to me. I had enough and wanted to speak to a manager not Tim. So we spoke to the new car manager Matt and he apologized and said that it is a bad situation but they did what they could do and now I need to call the bank to get it resolved. I get it and if they would have told me this from the beginning I would have been okay with it. But they strung me along so I call capital one and they said “the request was already submitted by the dealership It just takes 30 business days for the duplicate” Also there was undisclosed damage to the front end of the car that they admitted to after all this and they tried to fix it before selling but it was not done well. Tim also used the vehicle to go on a golf trip he said. There was over a 1,000 mile difference between the listing mileage and actually what was on the odometer when we test drove it. I told this to Matt. He said he would speak to Tim and Dennis the GM about seeing what they could do for all the troubles I had it has been 3 weeks since that conversation he told me he would call me 2 weeks ago about it and has not. My word of advice do not shop with Superior Hyundai south.

Bad Service

My last two cars I bought at Superior Hyundai. I was called for a recall (some engine repair). I left my car to the service. After the service I heard a noise coming from the front of the car. I took my car back to Superior and reported the problem. I then received a call charging me almost $ 400 for the service. I did not create the mechanical problem. I don't want anything free. Unfortunately it seems that the manager Dave Schmid does not care about the service and also does not follow the work of his workers, and does not care about his customers. I definitely do not recommend the service of this company.

Sorry to hear that your vehicle experienced another problem after your initial visit. With it being an unrelated problem to the initial visit it is hard for us to just absorb any repair. That's the crazy thing about automobiles, things can happen at inopportune times. You say you have owned two vehicles purchased from us, please don't write us off after this encounter. Give us a chance to make it better next time.

It was a pleasure to work with the folks at Superior Hyundai South in the Used car department. Our Sales Consultant, Will, provided a ton of information on the the vehicle we were interested in upon request. It was a very low key, no pressure style, and we appreciated his candor as well as everyone there concerning our questions. We purchased a used 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 from them, and we are very pleased with the expedience and ease of the process as well as the deal we were able to make. We highly recommend Will and the folks at Superior!


Great experience

Bought a new Santa Fe from Rick Elkins. It was a seamless transaction. Will definitely return again. They even had a basketball court in the showroom so my autistic son could play


Careful of the upsell

Bought a new car from this dealership. Bought an extra protection package that was administered by a third party. Dealer charged twice as much as the third party would have.


Best experience

Me and my husband came to Superior Huyindai South to buy a new car. Neither of us has bought a brand new car before, and we did not know what to expect. Rick and Nelson did an exceptional job! They made us feel comfortable, explained everything, gave us options and were very professional, yet simple and friendly. While we were waiting, they were offering us drinks and asking whether there is anything else they can help us with. We walked out with a car we wanted, and could not be happier! Thank you, Rick and Nelson!


Visit To The 'Lot'

Salesperson Craig was very professional and (thankfully) not pushy at all!! I found my car the very 1st day I went looking. Everything went well.



I am satisfied with my car purchasing experience. Rodney was able to quickly answer all my questions about the vehicle and was very knowledgeable about its features.



I love my new car. The salesman was awesome. Every person I dealt with was great. I would definitely recommend this dealership and salesman man to all my friends and family. My experience was wonderful.
