    No sense of customer service. The salesman even said to me "look, either you buy the car or someone else will. I dont care. Either way I'm taking my... kids to Disneyland again this year" Also please note all cars come with a "free warranty for your piece of mind". This means that you have 30 days to bring the car back to them with concerns. Their 'warranty' includes a clause which allows them to decide whether or not they want to repair anything you bring to them. Don't hang your hat (or car) on the warranty. I wish I hadn't.

    I bought a 2010 Lexus IS 350 C from Corky in May, 2013. I looked around quite a bit and knew the car was fairly priced, especially since most IS convertibles... have the smaller 250 engine. The Car Fax report was clean, and it was easy to see that the car was in great shape. I was not surprised when Corky politely declined to negotiate because I knew the car was priced at more than fair value. Almost 3 years later, I still LOVE the car and it's been trouble-free. I recommend Smith Family Motors to any of my friends looking for a high quality used Lexus.

    I went in to look at a car the dealer had advertised online. I looked through the lot and found the vehicle I was looking for. It had dealer plates... on it , it was dirty and had drinks sitting in the car. I walked in to get some help and interrupted the salesman from watching a movie on his computer. He was the only one in the lot. I then asked him about the car in question. The sales persons said that he is driving it for his daily car and that's why it had plates and was dirty. I mentioned the car was overpriced and we had a discussion around this. He stated that all their cars are fairly priced and that I must be mistaken. We then went to a computer and looked up the value together. It was 15% lower than what he was pricing it at. He said he would never sell it for the fair market price. I walked out the door.     We are sorry you felt like you had such a bad experience. I had been using that car and it was not as clean as it could have been. I was also the only... salesperson on the lot but I was not watching a movie. I was try to juggle taking care of other customers as well as you and am sorry you felt neglected. When we quickly reviewed the 'market value' I agreed with you that the price seemed a little high and was willing to adjust it. Your offer however, as you walked out the door, was still lower than what I think it is worth. You don't have to buy from us if we disagree on the 'market value' of a car, but neither do I have to sell it to you for what you think it is worth. I suspect that is why you left us a negative review more than poor service? I know you were disappointed, but I don't feel like it rose to the level of trying to influence other customers against us. If it was simply because you felt that an advertised car was not in the condition you expected and then you didn't get the one on one personal attention you expected... For that I apologize. We are a smaller lot and each of us wears many hats and we know that sometimes things aren't exactly how we would like. We try to make up for it by making sure working with us a pleasant experience. That is why these reviews feel so personal. We are happy to discuss our opinions about 'market value' and your opinions as well, to see if one of us can convince the other. As long as the whole experience is low pressure and comfortable, on our part as well as yours. If it's not then you are free to buy somewhere else and we are free to try and sell to someone else. And you are free to leave this kind of review. And I am free to respond.

    Responded to an ad for a Toyota Sequoia via Cars.com. Immediately got a generic response from Corky. Called and left a message to have him call back on... Monday. Haven't heard from Corky since.

    the absolute worst car lot in Utah to deal with terrible terrible service I have never been treated so rudely in my life I would not recommend them to... anyone was prequalified for a car they would not help me at all when I walked in then when I call back they were rude in cells never ever judge a book by its cover

    Mike, We really try not to be rude and give terrible service. As we explained a few times the car you were looking at was already priced at a firm sa...le price. I don't understand why you feel like we were rude except for that we would not negotiate the sale price. After repeating that several times and also trying to explain why it was firm, we could tell you were frustrated but come on... to leave us a review like this is unfair. I spoke to you when you called back and when I said to you: "I'm sorry buy that is still a firm sale price" and after you expressed your unbelief and asked again "I'm sorry but we are still not willing to discount that sale price" I was not being rude but rather upfront, open and honest. Just because it is not what you want to hear does not make it rude. Come on Mike... be fair.

    What a relief to be able to have the confidence to buy. They have shown again and again that Smith Family Motors can be trusted. Three cars later, we only... deal with them. They have been really good with follow up questions, too.
