    This was the our first car and honestly speaking we got the best deal and the nicest experience from McDavid. Right from the Auto Consultant Jesse Thompson with whom we dealt as well as rest of the guys which simplified the process of getting the whole process done.     In late February, I stopped by this dealer just to see what they might have in a used Honda Odyssey. I was greeted by Jesse Thompson, a cheerful, outgoing sales representative but, which is somewhat unusual in a salesman, low key and not at all "pushy". As luck would have it, they did have a used model, top-of-the-line Touring Edition, but one which was somewhat above my planning to purchase. However, in the course of our discussion, Mr. Thompson and John, the finance manager, lowered the price significantly to make it easily affordable within my fixed income budget. Unfortunately, I wavered, due to having driven my other Honda CRV from my home in Wyoming, and was trying to work out in my mind how to get both vehicles back home. By the time I had made a decision, a day later, the vehicle had already been sold. Although disappointed, I was so impressed with Jesse that I asked him to keep me informed if any more similar vehicles were to appear, and I could fly to Dallas and drive one home. He agreed to do so, and I checked with him periodically with the understanding that I would again be in the area later in the Spring. In the meantime, last week I "accidentally" found in a nearby town, a Toyota Sienna AWD van that suited my needs, and purchased it. I then sent a text message to Mr. Thompson, letting him know to no longer search for a vehicle, for the time being. He did not receive that text; today he called to let me know that they had the prospect of a couple of used Odysseys coming in about the time I had indicated my returning in early June. He very graciously accepted the fact that I had already made a purchase, and I indicated I would "drop by" when I'm there soon (June 12-13) I was so impressed with his attitude, his following up on our conversations, and how well he "personalizes" his sales relationship, that when I'm in the market for another vehicle, he will be my first point of contact. Actually, while I'm in Frisco in mid-June, I'll be looking at some apartments for retirees, with the possibility of moving to the area. I will want to know if trading my 2015 CRV-XL. with lots of highway miles, makes any sense prior to the drive train warranty expiring. I already have 46,000! Robert M. Krisko, Ed.D.

    If there is one thing I have learned from all this is to take online reviews into consideration. After receiving a resolution on a big dealer error decided to opt out of writing a negative review but now I am dealing with another issue. I went in to purchase a car 4/14 and as some reviewers have mentioned if you are a customer purchasing used you are directed to the used car building (I guess I was not worthy of popcorn or flat screen TVs) but once you are ready to purchase you are welcomed back to the new cars building. I will add that the used car sales department was awesome. Supreme was my sales rep and I never once felt pressure of any kind, he is a true people person. The finance dept was a different story. The finance guy would not take no for answer when I denied warranty. My brother who was with me told the guy "so we just left the used sales building and they told us we are getting a great car now you tell me I need warranty because it might brake down and the finance guy says something like "well they are trying to sell you a car''.. unbelievable... long story short I didn't get the warranty. That was a Friday. I stopped by Monday and handed James Brown a 3k check for my down payment. Fast forward a week later and I get a text from finance guy telling me there was an issue with the check I gave them. I call him and the issue was the dealer lost my check. I couldn't believe the dealer would be so careless to loose my check and compromise my bank account by not telling me until a week later. I got online and found the GM Sonia's number under reviews. She was kind and offered to have someone drive to pickup new check. I decided to personally take check, I didn't feel comfortable giving a 3k check to a stranger. That was my last check so after work I went to the bank placed stop payment and purchased a check. Fast forward to now. It is 5/20 and the car has not been registered in my name. I know the process is timely but I called dealer and they told be that the dealer was still waiting for 'lender' to send them the title. That didn't quite make sense to me. I cosigned with my sister on a car a few weeks after this purchase and she already received her plates. I was given the used car title clerk (Amy Ketchum) I left her a message and I haven't heard back. My temporary plates will expire in a few weeks and now I am stressing over this.

    This marks my first experience in buying a car from a dealership, as well as financing a car loan. The whole process, start to finish, was streamlined and straightforward; free of any unpleasant surprises. Becky, my saleswoman, was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we negotiated a fantastic deal on my accord sport - she'd recently been awarded salesperson of the month, and it's clear to me why. Going back to the financing department to finalize the deal was also straightforward and relatively pleasant. There were no surprise dealer fees to speak of, and the standard fees for document processing, registration, etc. we're reasonably priced and clearly outlined multiple times - they made sure I never felt taken advantage of. When it's time, I'll come back to David McDavid for my next vehicle.

    I attempted to purchase a vehicle with David McDavid and drove 3 hours from my house to attempt the deal. The offer they gave me on my trade was down right insulting. They kept telling me I had too many miles on my truck to get what I wanted for my truck. However, as I checked the industry average I was still 4,000 miles below that average. They also did not seem to be willing to come down on the price of the vehicle I was trying to purchase. 7 hours of my day away from family was wasted and that is time I will never get back. They are not about their customers just about their inventory.

    Found the perfect Jeep, drove an hour to look at it. Already had financing set. Get there and the salesman and I had to find the jeep. It was in the back parking lot, in the farthest spot available. Check it out, Drive it. Want to make a deal, but not at asking price due to issues with it. Head home to prep my trade in so I can return with my wife. Get home and get a call from the dealership, That jeep is not for sale. Hmmmm. Call my salesman and tell him to find out why. Didn't call me back. Had to call the Used Car sales manager and he stated that it was already sold and was actually waiting for dealership inspection (While sitting in a spot the farthest from the dealership). If you like to be taken for a ride, this dealership is the place. If you want to try to negotiate, good luck!! They might sell the car from out under you.

    I bought a vehicle son my son a week ago. I bought it home and I did not like the vehicle. I bought it AS IS and It did not perform as I expected, plus there was some signs of hail damage i didn't notice. I don't they were aware of ethier. While I read blogs that a dealer would not unwind a deal 90% of the time, I didnt even attempt to contact the dealer. I had a whole week of sleepless nights and praying the financing would fall through. It didnt. After the deal went through, I was so upset, I called and spoke with the sales manager John Brown, he told me to bring the car back and work something out, they were all about customer service. I was able to get into another vehicle that was CERTIFIED and I am so pleased. I was there for less than 2 hours and drove off the lot with a different perception. I wish I would not have read all these negative reviews and contacted them sooner. Thank you to my salesman Bok, John and all especially Onra the finance director and all those involved in the sales process. I was referred there by a co worker and now I know why, they really are about good customer service.
