“What do you mean you can’t find my car?” I asked John Hatcher, the Audi service manager. It had been seven days and six phone calls since my car had been... towed to Audi Mission Viejo. It seems that roadside assistance dropped my car off at the Infinity service bay which is only about ten feet away from the Audi service bay. Rather than return any of my phone calls, my service advisor, Jorge, just let my car sit there for a week. Once John “found” my car (which had been there all along), he promised that he would fast track my repair and deliver excellent customer service going forward. I never heard from John, the service manager, again. By the way, John’s voicemail states that he will get back to you at HIS earliest convenience. I guess it hasn’t been convenient to follow up with me yet. Next up was Greg. Greg couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my car for many days. Five days to be exact. Once I finally called him after not hearing from him for 48 hours, I learned that all my car needed was two new fuel injectors. Sounds simple, right? That took another seven days. Yes, SEVEN. First, they needed to get approval from Audi, then, they needed to order the part (what is a parts department for if not to house parts?) The Audi Mission Viejo website says that the dealership is family owned and that the owners work at the store every day. The website goes on to say, “If you ever have any questions you will have direct access to them at any time.” I clicked on the chat button of the website to ask for the owner’s contact information. Amber, the webchat operator refused to give me the owner’s name or contact information. Even after I explained that I was a current customer and that my car was in their shop. Finally, my car was ready to pick up! Hooray! 20 days later! Audi gave me my Q7 back to me with the empty gas tank light on. Even though it had over a quarter tank when it was towed in. When I expressed my displeasure at the empty gas tank, the valet walked away from me while I was talking and said, “you’ll have to talk to your service manager about that.” So, I drove away with my empty gas tank – never to return again.
Hello Laurel, I'm so sorry to hear that your recent experience with us left you with such a negative perception of our business, however I have spoke...n to our service manager, John Hatcher, and have some information which can hopefully clear up some points regarding this situation. While the front entrance to the INFINITI service bay is very close to ours, the third party towing company had dropped off your vehicle on the complete opposite side of the INFINITI dealership, completely out of sight of any of our employees, and was done so after hours when our service department had already closed down. Because of this, we had no way of knowing or seeing that your vehicle had been dropped off in anyway. It wasn't until a week later when we had got in contact with you did we know that your vehicle should have been here. After a bit of searching that Saturday, we were able to find your vehicle that same day and bring it into the shop to begin working on it. We wish that this could have been noticed sooner, but upon checking our logs, we did not see voicemails to Jorge which we believe to be a fault of our own phone systems as explained by our IT coordinator. Upon initial inspection, our service technicians discovered some unusual faults with your vehicle which prompted us to contact Audi Corporate about how to properly manage the problems to ensure that we were able to correctly service your vehicle. Unfortunately, Audi Corporate is not open on on Saturdays, so we had to wait until Monday for them to get back to us with instructions on what must be done and which parts were needed. And while we have the largest inventory of Audi parts in the area, we did not have what was necessary on hand and had to order them. Which unfortunately did further extend the process. In all, while your vehicle was near our lot for 20 days, the time from us knowing about your vehicle to having it finished was a week and a half. And about a week from hearing back from Audi and ordering the parts - which is not uncommon. That is not to say that I do not see where your frustration is coming from because I certainly do understand. 20 days is an untypically long time to get your car back, and I'm sure that being told that we didn't have your vehicle must have been a very shocking and unsettling thing to hear. Unfortunately, this was a combination of multiple small problems which accumulated together into one much larger issue. We deeply regret that you experienced this through a vehicle service with our department and sincerely wish that things would have gone more smoothly or with more communication.
I had an unexpected issue with the cooling system in my car while on the road from AZ to CA. The Audi mission viejo advisor Greg immediately took care... of me. The entire personnel was available to assist me and ensure I was taken care of right away and not have to worry about my car while on vacation for the holidays. They went above and beyond even though I was from out of town.

Although I didn't lease my car from this dealer, they always do an excellent job throughout the repair process. Making an appointment was easy. The repair... took the time I was told it would take. And, they washed and vacuumed the car. Very satisfied with this dealership.
