A Great Day and Experience with Jackson Motor Co

My family and I were looking for a newer vehicle to accommodate 3 children in our daily routine of life. A web search of minivans in our area (100 miles) pointed to Jackson Motor Company. I had known of the dealership for most of my life but had never purchased there before. Needless to say, the process was easy, Jackson Motor was accomodating to our needs, and we got a great deal on our Honda Odyssey. The staff was friendly and I appreciate the no hassle feeling. Overall, we are pleased with the entire process and our new family ride. Thanks Jackson Motor!!!

Jackson Motor Company

The folks at Jackson Motor were well mannered and no high pressure sales routine. I do appreciate the salesman as well as the financial personnel at this location. I am 67 years old and retired. I told them when I went in that I grew up in an era when a man's word and a hand shake meant something. They seem to understand me, as they just gave me the keys to the vehicle I was interested in and told me to take it out, drive it (by myself) and evaluate it. There are certainly not many dealerships that treat people in this manner. I certainly appreciate them and the professionalism in which they handled the transaction. I would recommend these folks to anyone.

Very happy lady from Jackson, Tn

I was in need of a car and was lucky to find out about Mr Jim and his wonderful staff. I did my research on the car I wanted and called about it and was glad to be approved and this morning I drove my new car home. All my questions were answered and explained in terms that I could understand. If you are in need of a car go see the people at Jackson Motors!!!

Needs improvement.

Spoke with a salesperson about a van. Let him know we were coming. When we got there he wasn't there but a lady handed us the keys without asking for a license or anything. Not good business practice. The interior of the van was too dirty and it shifted a little funny. When I went in to return the keys inside of the building itbwaa pretty dirty and in need of a good vacuuming. My husband did end up speaking to one of the sales guys and he said he was nice so that's why I have 2 stars instead of 1.

Great Buying Experience

Went to Jackson Motor Co. this morning with my daughter. My daughter had called earlier concerning a couple of cars on the lot and Alan remembered speaking with her. He was very friendly and courteous. Instead of having us wait around in the office to see if the financing was going to go through, he suggested that he could call her when he got the answer. She received the call as we were finishing up our lunch. When we arrived back to complete the paperwork, we were able to meet Mr. Jim, the owner. By the time the paperwork was completed, I felt like part of a family. I would definitely recommend this dealer.

Worst Vehicle Purchase Ever

I purchased a minivan from Jackson Motor Company as a Christmas present this past year. The salesman told me he knew of nothing wrong with the vehicle, and it test drove well. I bought the minivan, and 3 weeks later I had to put a $3,800 transmission in it. I called them and asked if they would help pay for the repair since it happened so soon. The salesman said he would talk to his manager, and I never heard back from him. This was an as is purchase, but I will never purchase another vehicle from this company. Buy at your own risk!

run-around

Jackson motor company will say anything to sell a car. I purchased a car about a year ago and was told by Michael that it was in great shape. I was sceptical because I know nothing about cars and was shopping alone. I trusted him and purchased the car. No more than a week and I had to take it to a shop and was told it had several problems. I informed jmc of this and they told me they would not fix it..after some time they changed their mind and took the vehicle back to "fix" it but it was returned with the same problems. It has been over a full year now and I haven't had a moment of peace with this vehicle. It breaks down everywhere I go. I have missed several days of work because I don't have a vehicle or a ride. I live in memphis and have no family here other than my husband and every time I leave my house I have to worry about my car breaking down. After my vehicle was returned unfixed I called and told Tina and she said "let me call and tell Jim and I will call you right back.. so next day comes and I call again a different guy answers the phone and I asked for Tina.. he asked for my name when I told him he says.."she's on the phone with someone" I waited 2 hours and called again and he said "she's with customer" I then got my car jumped off so I could drive it an hour and a half to their dealership and when I got in town I called AGAIN and Tina answers and I said "I have my vehicle in town can I please drop it off bc it Still isn't fixed and I can't turn off the car without it dying" and she says "oh I need to talk to the owner" which is what she was suppose to be doing for the past few days!! She then said she would talk to him and call me RIGHT BACK. My mom sat with me in my car that I couldn't turn off and we waited and waited and guess what NEVER GOT A CALL. I've never seen people so rude in all my like, to take advantage of a 20 year old girl. Y'all have some nerve. I'm not stuck with a car that has given me xxxx for a year and y'all have not only not resolved the problem but have been very rude. Very bad business people. Thought Jim was a good guy but they are definitely out for themselves. If your looking to buy a car I would definitely not recommend jackson motor company.

Experience Okay

I had called in advance about the car in question. I looked at the car and test drove it. The car was okay, but I still had one more place to look at. They were closing early, but agreed to reopen if I was interested later that day. I found the same car at my next stop. I purchased it. The car that I purchased had a lot less miles and cost close to the same. I had an okay experience at Jackson motor company. They were friendly. If I need a car in the future, I may try them again.

Poor Experience

I called ahead of time, spoke to Tina and asked if the car I saw online was still available and was told "yes". I asked about the car and was told - "Well, what do you want to know". I said well we can talk about it later and that I would be there the next day to look a the car. When I arrived I met Tina. She smelled of cigarettes and heavy perfume. She knew nothing about the vehicle. The car was dirty inside and out and after she went on about an 88 point inspection that all cars had before they were available to be sold I noticed the rear bumper falling off and only a few of the outside lights even worked. There was not attempt to try and save the sale or say the items would be fixed. There was no conversation at all during the test drive or at the lot. As I was trying to ask about one of the options on the vehicle she took a personal call on her cell phone and I was just standing there waiting while she talked to her friend. It was obvious, I was not important so I gave the keys back and before I could say anything she turned around and went back to her cell phone. It was an awkward experience and one that I would not repeat at this car lot.
