    I recently purchased a new verhicle from Zimmer Motors. I was very impressed by the response I received after filling out an internet request. A sales rep emailed me back right away (it was around10:00 pm). The next day a saleswoman followed up and the process was started. My sales rep was extremely pleasant to talk to but lacked basic knowledge on the vehicle I was wanting to purchase. I found a vehicle set up the way I wanted sitting on a lot and gave her the VIN so she could see how it was equipped and find me one like it, but that seemed a little challenging. They finally found a vehicle that was satisfactory and were able to get it. It was part of the deal that a gooseneck hitch would be supplied by the dealer because all I do with the truck is haul. That seemed pretty challenging also. I signed papers on the truck on a Friday and picked it up on Saturday afternoon. After arriving to pick the truck up I was informed the hitch wasn't ordered yet to my disappointment. The new truck was of no use to me at that point. I was assured it would be ordered from another dealer or from Chrysler and I'd be called as soon as it came it. That would put it there Monday or Tuesday at the latest (orders arrive next day). I'm still not sure why it wasn't ordered Friday when we completed the business part of the deal. I wasn't called on Monday so I sent an employee of mine there Tuesday morning to pick the parts up, they were wrong. However, it turns out they had the right parts in stock this whole time. That actually didn't make me feel any better. I could have been using my new truck. I understand that to some people these issues seem minor, and I'm sure they are, but my trucks are used solely for towing. Outside of a few minor hiccups, the experience could have abeen a lot worse I'm sure. The facility itself is very acceptable and the overall demeanor of the Zimmer employees seems to be very good. If I had a recommendation it would be to train your sales staff to put the right sales person in front of the customer. P.S. The deciding factor on me purchasing the truck from Zimmer was the fact that before the deal was made I recieived a letter hand signed by John Zimmer that had his cell phone number on the bottom. If a dealer principle cares enough to put a direct contact number out there without making you go through the hoops of calling the office, it shows me he cares about the business his family has built.

    I have had my jeeps serviced with Zimmer since 2010. The service is excellent and the staff is courteous and professional. As long as I live in KY, I will continue this tradition. When I became interested in buying my retirement vehicle, I wanted to purchase it from Zimmer. Several sales consultants had emailed me to find out what vehicle I was looking for but one consultant was consistent. Aaron Pardue kept in constant contact with me and knew exactly what I was looking for. I saw the vehicle I wanted on line and Aaron was very proactive in getting the vehicle to the dealership. The whole purchasing process was a breeze. Aaron was very professional, courteous and very easy to talk to. He answered any and all questions that I had concerning the vehicle and made himself available if I needed any other assistance. The finance staff was very good as well. At no time was I uncomfortable and they completed the paperwork as quickly as possible. I am a permanent customer of Zimmer and look forward to purchasing my new jeep with them in the near future. Thank you all for such excellent service.

Zimmer Motors has been operating in the northern Kentucky area since 1929 and as a Plymouth franchise since 1932 initially under Ed Zimmer. In 1933 the Desoto nameplate was added as the 2nd new car franchise. The building of I-75 in 1938 forced the dealership into a smaller area of land and we operated as a used car dealership up until 1958. In 1959 Studebaker was added as a franchise followed by Plymouth (again) in 1961 and the Chrysler brand in 1978. Continuing our family-owned tradition Tom Zimmer joined our dealership in 1958 and was followed by Dick Zimmer in 1961.

In March 1980 Zimmer Motors moved to its present location in Florence,
