Great service

This is an exceptional service department. From the second you pull in you’re greeted with a smiling face.. you’re treated with nothing but great service and courtesy. The cashiers are amazing and they even give you chocolate when you leave.. seriously the best service department I’ve ever experienced in my 40+ years of driving.

This was my first service visit under Toyota Care.

This was my first service visit under Toyota Care. I was greeted promptly, the service consultant, Luke, was friendly and professional. I had an unusual request as there was a black piece of rubber sticking out by 1 of the headlights. They checked it out and removed it(a piece of rubber from a car wash!) The servicing was quicker than expected and my wait time was about a 1/2 hour which was remarkable to me.

I had intake and follow-up communications with Jack G.

I had intake and follow-up communications with Jack G. He demonstrated a welcoming approach -- polite and thorough. Jack later approached me about other needed service issues. This conversation was appreciated. I agreed to the recommendations and his reference to time of completion (hour and half). Before the time had lapsed, Jack approached stating that the car was ready. In that my rating is based on Jack G., he desires a 5-star performance. Perhaps a more friendly and engaging interaction at the checkout desk would have been appreciated.

I was greeted by Noah in the Service Department. Everything was explained to me what they were going to do for my first 5000 service. I was in and out of Tansky's Service Department in less than an hour. Great job!

I just bought a Toyota at a Ford dealership yesterday,

I just bought a Toyota at a Ford dealership yesterday, because no one at Tansky would even talk to me. For some context, I bought a Toyota Tacoma from Tanksy in January of 2019 and had a great experience. I haven't been able to track down my salesman from that time, but he was wonderful.I sent a note through the form on the site for a 2019 Tacoma I liked on Saturday morning, and a Sales Rep called me within a few minutes. This Sales Rep had other clients sitting at her desk, but balanced us well, making me feel seen and cared for, and doing the same with the couple sitting at her desk. She had me take the car for a test drive. I fell in love with this car on the drive. When I came back in from my test drive, the Sales Manager waved me over. She said she would help me while the Sales Rep finished up with the couple. Sales Manager never asked me to sit down and discuss the offer. She never treated me like she was serious about me as a customer. I spent about five minutes standing there.She gave me a print out of the price of the car with taxes and fees in a general sense, but nothing specific to my credit score, address, etc. even after I asked for it. I asked if the finance person was in and she said she didn't want to bother him and she could do it, but she never gave me any info I asked for. When I asked questions about the details of the price she told me she was "only making $400 on this" more than once, and that the price wouldn't change. I never asked about the price changing, only let her know that this is a significant purchase for me (isn't $35k+ significant for all of us?) and wanted details. I asked about paying cash vs. financing and she said the dealership gets "kickbacks" from the bank, so that wouldn't affect the price and she would prefer I finance. I realize that the haggling days of car purchasing are over, and that's not what I was doing, but I need to understand the financial decision I am about to make. It is her job to help me understand it and feel comfortable with it. I went home, slept on it, and decided to buy this truck Sunday morning. I put the money in my checking account, and called the Sales Rep and told her I want to buy it. It was Sunday, and I asked if we could do business today because I want to buy this car. She said yes. About 20 minutes later, I get a call from the Sales Rep saying her manager said not to "waste my time" because the price is the price and suggested I not even come in. I thanked her and turned around. It's fine that the truck costs what it costs, but to be so quickly dismissed? You won't even sit down with me to talk about it? Help me understand the details of this purchase? I am very disappointed in not being taken seriously. I am a 35 year old professional woman who simply wanted to sit down and hear from the finance person what the best options are to pay for this vehicle. I have been in sales and customer service for over 15 years. This is not how you do business. The Sales Manager was rude, dismissive, and, frankly, I think she lied to me by suggesting that she will only make $400 on this car. I let her know I was a returning customer, and that means a lot to me. I feel like she took me for someone very young and very poor - I am not either of those things, but she should treat everyone kindly regardless - and she felt like I was a waste of her time and made it obvious. I thought perhaps dealing with women would eliminate a lot of the sexism and patronizing that so many of us feel in the car buying process, so her actions are particularly hurtful. This will end my loyalty to Tansky. I just bought the same truck for a few hundred dollars MORE from a Ford dealership in Dayton and had a great experience. I also emailed the GM in response to a prompted email about my experience with the dealership and never heard back. That was Sunday. This is Wednesday. Never shop here. Big mistake. Huge.

To whom we are speaking with, we are disappointed to hear this about your experience. You are correct we do not haggle once so ever because we don't believe in the old car tactics anymore, the vehicles are already priced accordingly from the start. I think there is some confusion here as the price was trying to be haggled. We can absolutely send over all information regarding this vehicle, especially the unit cost and profit on this vehicle as we do not lie or try any tactics like this. We're glad you were able to find a truck and hope you have a fantastic day.

Great experience

Buying a car is not usually a enjoyable experience however this was pretty painless. Good salesperson and they worked out a fair deal with our trade in. It was worth driving the 100 miles from Cincinnati to purchase from it.

ALWAYS A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE

My spouse and I both have vehicles purchased from, and serviced exclusively by, Tansky Toyota for over 10 years now. We're extremely happy with the courteous and efficient service they provide. It's apparent a great deal of focused energy has been spent on creating a positive customer experience. Additionally, the employees all seem happy with the working environment and culture their employer creates. Dealing with Tansky is always a positive experience. These are honest and fair people.
