In MY experience, Autonation in St. Pete does good work, but their communication skills are sorely lacking. There have been at least 3 occasions where I have continually had to push for updates. I have been "ghosted" by service reps, and eventuality found out they no longer work there, a number of times. A simple phone call or text message explaining the situation would generally suffice, but I had to instigate the communication. If it was a one time occurrence, it would be more understandable, but this happened way too many times to be forgivable. As I wrote, this is MY experience. Also, Autonation St. Pete encouraged an honest review.

Auto nation St Petersburg has been taking care of my Escape for three years and I have been very satisfied whit the work done ;and every Person that I have seen or the person on the Phone that I made my appointment with or the person that I saw when I arrived to have my Escape worked on were very friendly and made my stay very pleasant while I waited for my Escape to be worked on. So far the experience hasn't been good besides Jason the sales guy. I purchased a used Ram 3500 a few weeks ago. After only a day of driving it, a check engine light came on. I called Jason and they came and picked it up, 3 days after they were supposed to. Mind you at this point I made it clear that I need it back ASAP because we are planning a trip and that's the reason I bought the vehicle. I called the Service manager, he sounded annoyed talking to me. He promised a call back the next day with updates, nothing, that was three days ago. The only person who has been in simi communication is Jason the sales guy. Here's my issue, COMMUNICATION. Knowing my situation, not one person in management has reached out to apologize or really tell me anything. Its just not good business. Make this right and ill take this down.

This place sucks
Made an appointment for oil change for 2022 Maverick several weeks ago. Earliest date was November 23rd. I had a family emergency, my 91 year young aunt was diagnosed with breast cancer and is having surgery Friday in North Carolina. I wanted to travel to support her and maybe see her for the last time. My truck has 5100 miles on it and so I called Autonation ford service department for advice on whether it was safe to make the trip without changing the oil as I had made an appointment in North Carolina also on the 23rd. Sara from service told me not to make the trip without an oil change and if I could bring it in Thursday the earlier the better then she could get me in, just ask for Sara. I thanked her profusely and asked her what time did they open, she said 7am, I said I will be there at 645 because I have to be at the airport around 10am. She said no problem just ask for her. At 645, I am there and a young lady comes out and I asked if she is Sara. She said no, Sara comes in at 9. I explain the situation to her and she says no worries, we will take get you in. She is a good worker and was being professional and helpful. I waited until she unlocked the door and the unhappy lady behind the counter told her it was time to wake up. I explained to this person that I had spoken to Sara and that she told me to come in at 7. She said, Sara doesn't come in until 9 and I can't take you ahead of appointments that's what appointments are for! I said I understand completely and I called for advice and Sara told me to bring it in at 7, could you please call her see if she can shed some light on this. The unhappy person calls Sara and when she hangs up she says hatefully, you can sit and wait but there is no guarantee that you will receive service. I ask what did Sara say? She replies, Sara said that she doesn't remember telling you to come in early. ARE YOU xxxxING KIDDING ME
