I bought a 2022 Jeep Cherokee Jan. 26, 2023. My salesman was Danny Boggs. If you need a car i highly recommend Danny. He makes you feel comfortable and welcome, he will try real hard to find you a good deal. My experience at Herrnstein of Waverly was excellent!
Easy and smooth experience.
This review is for Herrnstein Kia (since I just bought a 2023 Kia Seltos) and it was a fantastic buying experience. Actually, it was the smoothest car buying process I have ever went through. I did get financing through my own personal bank so I didn't have to deal with finance a whole lot but what little time I did was easy. The best part of the experience was my sales rep, Jared. He was welcoming and personable and seemed just as excited as I was about getting a new car. He has answered all my questions (even after I had taken the car home) quickly and I never felt like I was being a burden; and I had a lot of questions. Some dealerships I have dealt with in the past seem to be annoyed by my questions. Overall a great experience with the Kia branch and would recommend asking for Jared to anyone looking to buy a Kia.
Zero customer service from service department.
Bought several new vehicles from this dealership. Had a warranty issue on our 2019 Jeep I’ve been trying to get fixed. This service department is unresponsive and NEVER calls you back. I’ve reached out to them many times with zero support. No customer service to speak to or care from staff. They love you when you are buying a new vehicle but after that good luck. I’ll never buy from them again.
Left my car with the service department 4 hours before closing, to do minor work. An oil change, brake service & diagnostic work. Around 2 hours later I received a text with the information on what needed serviced, so I approved it. The service advisor apparently just left without telling anyone or letting someone know that this sensor needed replaced. I called 30 minutes before closing just to be told that the service advisor was gone and I am not able to pick up my car tonight. As someone who has a job with a pretty strict attendance policy, I really needed my car in the morning. I usually recommend Herrnstein to everyone I know, for service and if they’re looking to buy. I bring my car here for service pretty often, but unfortunately I don’t know that I’ll bring my car back after this experience or recommend anyone to come here.
TIRE REPLACEMENT AND ALIGNMENT FAILURE.
We bought our 2018 Ram 2500 truck from Herrnstein in Jan. of this year, 2022. I know it is a used truck so it is not in perfect condition. The track has/ had new tires on it. That was a nice feature of the truck. I happened to notice that the right front tire had worn badly on the outside edge of the tire. This is in October of 2022. I took it in to a tire store to have the alignment checked. The mechanic called me over to the service desk to tell me that who ever worked on the truck last did not tighten the toe in adjusting nut!!!! This caused the tire to wear so badly. I am assuming that some at Herrnstein did the work. If you are going to buy a used vehicle from this dealership, you should have it checked over by another mechanic to find any flaws or defects in the vehicle. As the saying goes, Buyer beware.
Eric Perkins did a phenomenal job of placing us in our brand new Telluride. We realize how fast new tellurides are moving off the lot and Eric was there to help guide us through the buying process.
I will definitely be coming back to Herrnstein!!
Barb from Herrnstein Hyundai was the absolute best! She was so patient with me! She did everything she could to make sure I left in the car I wanted! I will be back!!
Poor title department lack of buyer appreciation
I bought my car December 3rd and still haven't been able to transfer the tags because Herrnstein has yet to send documentation to the bank so they can send me what I need to transfer the tags and I had to throw a hellacious fit to get a temp tag yesterday(which was day 42 since I bought the car) since you only have 30 days to drive on your old tags with proof of purchase before you transfer them, this is the STATE LAW IN OHIO. I had called twice prior to this and fed a line of excuses. When I call they are dismissive or just say it will be tomorrow. Has anyone else dealt with this? HOW CAN I CONTACT BILL HERRNSTEIN?! I'd love to let him know the dealership is trying to force people to drive on fictitious tags! What's the point in spending tens of thousands of dollars on a luxury vehicle or any vehicle for that matter if you can't drive it because the people of charge of titles are negligent. Don't even get me started on the fact that the car had 17 miles to empty when they sent me off the lot AND they never put tags on it before I left they had me drive to my salon with ZERO tags yes they TOLD ME TO DRIVE THE CAR I JUST BOUGHT OFF THEIR LOT ALL GHE WAY TO MY SALON WITH NO TAGS, no temp tag, no dealer tag, no tag from my old car LITTERALLY NO TAGS AT ALL and then sent an employee to my salon to put my old tags on my new car They really worked with me, my sales man was AMAZING, my car is beautiful, I have a great interest rate, a low down payment and amazing monthly payment for the type of vehicle I drive but 10/10 would NOT recommend Herrnstein simply because their title department gives ZERO xxxxs and expects you to just drive on fictitious tags well over 30 days past the date of purchase!

I dealt with 2 people at your dealership. Ellie sold me the car, and when I buy another Kia, I hope she will still be there, I will definitely be looking her up. I also dealt with Jeff for my financing, that couldn’t have went any better Either. You have a great team.
Great buying experience as always! Todd in sales is great to work with and will help you with all your concerns. Repeat customer and I always get great service from the sales and purchasing staff
