Super service, I really appreciate it the way they went out of they're way to come and tell me my vehicle was finished being serviced I got sidetracked while I was looking at a vehicle on the car lot, they called me on the phone to tell me my vehicle was finished being serviced but I had it on silent, so I really appreciate it they came and told me, if not who knows how much longer I would have been waiting.

On Sat 1/9/17, I made a big mistake. I dropped my mazda tribute off to have a hose replaced because my tribute had been leaking power steering fluid. On Monday 1/11, I received a call from the service department and was told the hose was fine, but how long had it been since I had the spark plugs changed and the fuel injectors cleaned. Well I could not remember when I had the work done it had been several years so I agreed to let them do the above work and they also changed the fuel filter, cleaned the emission system, did a world class 99 point inspection, cooling system flush and cleaned the oil from under the car to check for a leak. 98 miles after I picked up the car the alternator went out and the car was towed in. I picked up my car on the 19th of Jan. I drove the car for a total of 32 miles, I had the car towed back in because it would not go over 20 miles an hour and it smelled like it was burning. I was told by Service that the tech found the Pre-Cat converter coming apart clogging up the main cat. They didn’t have the parts to fix the car and take it to midas. Cleaning the fuel injectors improperly caused this damage. Their “world class” 99 point inspection should have caught this before it destroyed my car.

Karen, I am truly sorry that you have experienced problems with your Tribute. We always strive to give the very best advice and service to our customers. The items that were serviced on your car are always recommended for vehicles that are much older. Even regularly serviced vehicles will have issues with aging parts over time. Sometimes improving performance in one area can put added stress on an old part. If the car has not been serviced regularly there could very well be issues that will present themselves in the future. The 99 point inspection is designed to alert the technician to observable issues with the vehicles systems. Your car was checked for leaks and noises and power ranges that would be outside tolerance levels for your car. It would not have alerted a technician to a problem within your catalytic converter. Again we apologize for inconvenience you have had with your Tribute. It is our sincere desire that due to the service you chose to have performed you will encounter no further issues.
