    My entire experience with Planet Ford was very satisfying. We were greeted at the door by a pleasant receptionist. The salesperson met us promptly and took us look at the vehicle we were interested in. After making a decision to purchase the vehicle the paperwork and sales transactions all went smoothly. The vehicle was quickly washed, cleaned and serviced and delivered to the door. A representative explained all of the features of the vehicle and we we were on our way. The whole process took about two hours. The waiting rooms were comfortable and we were provided cold water and kept informed throughout the process.

    Ray listened to what I wanted and found it. Ray knew that I was on a time crunch and was able to find the truck I wanted and get me in it all within a short period of time. He was amazing!!!! I will definitely be sending people his way.

    I was looking to possibly buy a new vehicle but was still unsure because of past experiences with dealerships/salesmen. All my worries went away when I was referred to Planet Ford and personal told to deal with Benjamin Hutzler. He was super friendly, easy going and really listened to what I not only wanted but could afford and made it all happen for me without little to no effort on my part. He is truly an amazing guy and now a friend!

    The salesman was nice enough, but he did not know very much about the vehicle-- which I understood since it is a Ford dealership and we were purchasing a Honda. The grounds for the facility are very large-- many acres of land-- but the used car sales building is essentially a group of trailers and the hanicap ramp was rather steep. We had to wait for awhile for the salesman to show up and bring the vehicle. The lot was HUGE and the vehicle had been sitting for a long time without being run so they had to jump-start the battery to bring it to us. The Navigation console kept asking for a code and the salesman looked up where to find it and to fix the issue (more on that later). They held on to my driver's license and "forgot" to give it back when I took the vehicle for a test drive and it took probably another 20 minutes after I returned from having the vehicle inspected by a mechanic to get it back. Vehicle checked out ok except for the tires-- which they said were old and starting to crack. Salesman wouldn't come down on the price or replace the tires or battery (we should have tried harder to negotiate). It was quite a walk from the used car area to the final sales area-- not so friendly for someone with mobility issues. Inside the sales area was interesting. Then came the loooong waiting game. We literally sat for hours and were almost ready to get up and leave (I later learned this is a tactic used by sales people to wear people down so they will just agree to everything just to get out of there with the vehicle). We finally got called in to the office and all of the documents were signed on a DocuPad-- basically the desk is a huge touchscreen computer (that is hard to see/read for the customers because of the angle). Finally we finished up the deal (it was starting to get dark) and went to visit some family in the area. The battery did last long enough to get us home and then to an AutoZone where the battery finally died right in the parking lot while being tested. Had to get a new battery within days of the purchase. I felt that the dealer should have replaced the battery, but I should have pushed harder on the issue and that is not a mistake I will make again. Overall, I would prefer to go to a dealer that doesn't waste my time and keep me waiting for so long. Unless they speed up the process, I would not buy from them again. They were still slightly better than their sister business in Humble.

    We have purchased 8 vehicles from them, but the service center has gone downhill drastically in the past five years. We just brought our 2005 lincoln navigator in because of a suspension issue. Their recommendation was to replace the entire system for 5200 in parts alone. The other option was to replace it with a traditional coil and spring suspension which was about 2300 dollars. We were informed that we would get a call the next morning about parts for the work and they would let us know about schedule. I found the air suspension parts for considerably less and left three messages that I would have them my two and would like an estimate on labor to install them. The next call we received was by midday that the work was nearly complete. That is just the start. We had another issue show up, it was cranking but not starting so they thought the fuel pump was bad. We got it home and did some troubleshooting to find the relay was bad which entails replacing the entire fuse panel as it is soldered to the board. This led me to think maybe they did not do due diligence troubleshooting the original problem. The compressor was still present so I decided to check it myself. It turns out the relay, which was taped down and never opened until I did after the service, but I could verify it functioned correctly by applying voltage outside the circuit. I tested the compressor by bypassing the relay and applying power. Guess what, the compressor fired right up and I verified there is air pressure produced. There remains other items to check that I do not have the diagnostic equipment to accomplish, the solenoids on the shocks are not operating correctly, the height sensors are not sending updates, the ECM or unit that provides the logic processing is not working correctly, or all of those are working and the electrical system has remaining issues. Very angry about downgrading the suspension now because they do not perform good diagnostics and just pull and replace. We will not be taking our vehicles there for service again and I actually took my F250 that was purchased from Planet to Anderson Ford two days later to have a wheel bearing replaced because of this visit. Planet Ford has been a great dealership for years, but converting the service experience into a sales platform may be a bad idea. They need to resolve issues communicating between the departments (service concierge, parts, service, and customers) in order to improve internally and they need to allow communication directly between the customer and the technician as they may not be properly relaying details to the technicians and this was heavily evidenced by a note on the service ticket that was completely different symptoms from what I specifically detailed. They never followed up on a review on Facebook and I have written them off at this point as well as a loss of several thousand dollars for service and parts replacements that were completely unnecessary.
