I was caught with the need for a rapid repair. My drivers side seat was reclined and I was 40 miles from home with severe thunderstorms approaching. ... Tom Light Chevrolet got my auto in immediately, made the repair, and had me on my way within 15 minutes. I expected the charge to be over $ 100. Much to my surprise, the charge was only $ 15. The service employee and the technician made a future sale that day. Mr. Light, that happened on 4/24/20, at around 11 AM. Please relay my thanks to these two outstanding employees. Thank You. Service advisor (JB I believe his name was?) was attentive, professional and courteous. From there, my visit was rather disappointing. My truck's seat... was reclined (I was told it was an auto function), though it was distressing. Further, the floorboards were soiled and this is highly uncharacteristic of the meticulous care and effort that is given to my vehicle. I went in for a simple oil-change and told the service advisor I did not need a tire rotation. My visit took well over an hour and 15 minutes! The reasons I outlined above do not indicate proficiency nor skill. How am I to trust the service done to my vehicle? How? Small details are indicative of the overall care a person receives in any service industry. Your service department being so closely tied to the sales of the dealership seems like my experience is a problem for your organization. Just from one visit, one. I have already formed an impression. Being my experience was less than acceptable, I'd unfortunately say my impression of the dealership as a whole would have me considering other Chevrolet options in the greater area. I've had the pleasure of visiting multiple different Cheverolet dealerships in Texas and outside. This dealership needs to focus on, 1) upgrading their technology and footprint [size]; it feels very small, 2) ensure there is a standardized process that does not unravel when a customer asks for a State Inspection with an oil change - as requested on the phone - booking my appointment, 3) Service technicians shouldnt wear beanies in front of a customer as this is really bad optics and 4) take a look at "Cavender Chevrolet" in Boerne Texas - the dealership the truck was purchased. They are a well oiled machine in terms of process' and should be a good example and goal for your dealership to reach. The above is by no means intended as disrespect, quite the contrary. The above is brutal honesty and feedback which this communication solicited. Hopefully, you are able to make the changes necessary for customers that have lived in many different towns, cities and countries - truly knowing what the world has to offer. I appreciate your 'small-town' pride, but please, step up your game! Its free and will reward you 10x over. I'd love to give you my business next time I purchase a vehicle. Hopefully a response that is sincere and thoughtful is forthcoming. If not, I get it. Peace out - D
This was by far the best, and quickest, car buying experience my wife and I have ever had We did our homework before going in and our Sales Rep, Cory,... was very quick to respond every time we sent him yet another question via text or email. The Sales Manager, and Finance were also some of the best we have ever dealt with. No hassles, no pushy sales tactics. Just good friendly service!
Visited Tom Light and dealt with Clint Barnard. Although I was not yet ready to pull the trigget, I was super impressed with the whole process. Very professional... and answered all my questions Not pushy and I liked that a lot. Highly recommend Tom Light and go see Clint Barnard
I drove from Houston to look at a used truck I saw online. When I got there, I decided I did not want the truck I test drove I worked with Geoff Lee and... he showed me another used truck. It was spot on perfect as to what I wanted. The purchase experience was great. No pressure to purchase or look at any other trucks. My wife and I were both very comfortable with Geoff and I will honestly say if you are looking for a car or truck - talk to Geoff - he is nothing less than amazing. This was well worth the drive from Houston.
Knew what I wanted when I went in. Salesman provided the item, bought it. A thirty minute experience. Easiest time I ever had. Salesman sold me the... car I wanted instead of pushing an item he wanted to sell. Parts department had a small hiccup, but fixed the problem ASAP. Was very happy with the outcome.
Had an appointment for oil change. Took a little longer than I hoped since there was an appointment to get the vehicle back to do the service. However,... overall the service was good. Service desk employee was courteous.
EVERYONE THERE WAS SO AWESOME..... I WOULD DEFINATELY GO AND BUY MY NEXT CAR FROM THEM....I BOUGHT A 2018 CHEV TRAVERSE AND I LOVE IT.....THANK YOU FOR... YOUR GREAT SERVICE FROM THE SALESMAN TO FINANCE AND TO THE GENERAL MANAGER.....
Great experience at Tom Light! The sales people were great, very friendly and informative. Enjoyed my visit there immensely!
Best dealer in town. "They strive to get it right at Tom Light."--not a Haiku, but a good slogan for you, Tommy & Tim
