THIS HAS BEEN THE NICEST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD IN PURCHASING AN AUTOMOBILE. FROM THE TIME WE ARRIVED UNTIL WE LEFT WE WERE TREATED BY ALL THE STAFF AT SEWELL FORD LIKE FAMILY. THERE WAS AT NO TIME ANY PRESSURE TO BUY BUT WHEN WE REALLY DECIDED TO TRADE UP TO A NEWER MODEL F250 OUR SALES PERSON TOOK EXTRA TIME TO EXPLAIN THE NEW OPTIONS AVAILABLE.ARMANDO WENT WAY BEYOND WHAT WAS REQUIRED AS DID CHRISTAL IN FINANCE. Sewell Ford service department told me I needed almost...
Sewell Ford service department told me I needed almost $1,000 of brake work done to my truck. They said if I left their dealership without getting the brakes and rotors repaired, I was going jeopardize myself and others on the road. They told me they were really considering not letting me take my truck out of fear I might cause harm to myself or others. I went to 2 different mechanics after I left there and both told me Sewell Ford was trying to take my money, because I didn't need what they were telling me. They said I needed brake pads and the rotors needed to be turned, but not all the things Sewell Ford told me. I ened up paying only $140 :) The truck has been running great and I have had no problems whatsoever. A friend of mind had warned me about Sewell Ford. He told me he went to get a new pitman arm for his front end on his 4x4 pickup and they tried to convince him he needed an entire new front end. The cost was going to be about $4,000 - $5,000. He left and took his truck to a mechanic who installed a pitman arm and boots on his axel. Total cost was about $349. That was over 1 year ago and his truck is running great. I am concerned if this is happening often. I can see how someone who does not know too much about vehicle repairs could fall prey to scare tactics, because I almost did. I have some knowledge about repairs, but went to Sewell to get the manufacture pads installed. I was really surprised by what they told me they found wrong with my truck. Maybe the service techs work on commission or have a quota to meet and that's why they try to get you to get repairs you don't need. You might get an opinion from a regular mechanic before you use the dealership mechanic. I am not sure if this violates any consumer laws, but someone might want to send an investigative reporter to check it out.

Management takes the time to ensure customer is satisfied. Will definitely be back to deal again and highly recommended. Excited to take advantage of services offered in the future. Definitely worth the short drive from Midland!
