    This purchase had to be the best experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. The young man I dealt with was very polite, knowledgable and respectful. This is a rare experience in todays car market. I will look at Lakeside Chevrolet the next time I purchase a vehicle even if it is 250 miles away from my home, it would be worth the drive. Blake Seed is the man when it comes to dealing with people.

    I dropped my car off on a Saturday afternoon for a trouble light and front end alignment. I told the service manager that I did not need the car until Tuesday. I contacted the dealer Monday afternoon after I haven't heard from them. I was told they would look at it Tuesday morning. I contacted the dealership Tuesday afternoon and was told they have not looked at my car yet and that it would be Wednesday. I contacted the dealer Wednesday and was told they would look at my car Thursday. Thursday the service manager called me around 11 and told me what was wrong with my car and that it would be ready Thursday afternoon. Thursday afternoon the service manager called and told me the car was not going to be ready until Friday. I told her that I would pick my car up Saturday. It was the worst experience that I have ever had at a dealership

    Tho whom this may concern: I just want to report a bad customer experience I received at Lakeside Chevrolet in Rockwall, Tx. I bought a certified Used 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Crew Cab 4WD Texas Edition from Huffines chevrolet in Lewisville, Tx. I also purchased a extended warranty as well. Shortly after I purchased the truck I noticed that the collision alert and Lane Departure was not working. It was not a necessity to get it fixed right away, so I waited for about 11 months and while i was on Christmas vacation, I had some time, so I dropped my truck off at Lakeside Chevrolet In Rockwall for Service to have oil change done and to have them fix the collision alert and lane departure issues I mentioned above. They had my truck for 3 days and they called me and said the truck was fixed, but ask me if the windshield has ever been replaced. I said that it has not since I have owned the truck. They proceed to tell me that I have a aftermarket windshield installed and they found the connection cables to the camera installed in the front windshield was unplugged and because the windshield is aftermarket, the labor/service will not be covered under my warranty and that I owed $59.17 for the repair. I am not trying to make a big deal about $60.00, but the whole situations just rubs me wrong. I bought a certified GM vehicle and just expected that I can take it to any cerified GM service center and I would be taken care of with issues I may have with my vehicle. The service advisor at Lakeside told me that if I had bought the truck from Lakeside that they would have taken care of the issue at no charge, but being I did not, I would have to pay the $59.17 that is due. Adviser stated if I wanted to be reimbursed, that I would need to contact Huffines where I purchased the truck and take it up with them... I did just that and spoke with the Service Manager Allen Moore at Huffines and explained what happened. Allen was very upset as to the way I was treated and apologized on there behalf and said that Lakeside should of fixed the issue at no charge, no matter if I have a aftermarket windshield or not.He told me to email him a copy of the invoice from Lakeside and that he would mail me a check to reimburse the $59.17. Allen Moore from Huffines was great, and I did receive a check as he promised, so I am very happy with the customer service I received from him... I just think that someone from Chevrolet needs to address this issue at Lakeside Chevrolet. I will never take my truck back there for service again. 2014 Chevrolet Crew Cab LTZ 4WD (Texas Edition)

Unfortunately, GM will not pay for issues created by another shop or vendor. The windshield was not installed by us nor a vendor of ours so this repair could not be completed under warranty - The selling dealer should have reimbursed you as we would have if we were the selling dealer.     Bizarre experience... they have a VW toureg listed on here and on their site, tried for 3 weeks to get actual photos (not the one stock photo) sent to me, initially got a few generic email responses from salesman - but no actual photos. Then I drove an hour (each way) to dealership just to get told by a rude salesperson it was sent to auction 2 weeks prior (salesperson had no interest in helping and seemed irritated to even give me 10 seconds of his time). Now a month after my first email it's still listed. No clue if it really exists or ever existed. It's on their website too but no real photo. I did miss a call from the internet manager (after reporting problems to cars.com), but when I returned the call his voicemail was full and he doesn't respond to emails or to an SMS prompt to call me. I've given up. Lack of organization or they just don't care.. who knows.

    Cars.com asked for review, so here goes. I had great experience searching for vehicles. I did contact Lakeside regarding 1 or more vehicles they showed listed, but they never contacted me back. I found similar vehicle through Cars.com at Grubbs Auto and bought it. I don't necessarily fault the dealer. I didn't go to the dealership, but I live far away from Rockwall. Didn't want to waste a trip.

    I was explicitly told a lie by the parts manager Kelly he told me that it is impossible to program a remote without a tech 2 this is a lie I have included the instructions sent to me by another dealer. they charged me an additional $55 to do this This display allows you to match Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters to your vehicle. To match an RKE transmitter to your vehicle, do the following: 1. Press the vehicle information button until PRESS V TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays. 2. Press the set/reset button until REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE is displayed. 3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter at the same time for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the transmitter is matched. 4. To match additional transmitters at this time, repeat Step 3. Each vehicle can have a maximum of eight transmitters matched to it. 5. To exit the programming mode, you must cycle the key to LOCK. DIC Operation and Displays (Without DIC Buttons): Relearn Remote Key To access this display, the vehicle must be in PARK (P). This display allows you to match Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters to your vehicle. To match an RKE transmitter to your vehicle, do the following: 1. Press the trip odometer reset stem until RELEARN REMOTE KEY displays. 2. Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem for three seconds. The message REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE will display. 3. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter at the same time for approximately 15 seconds. A chime will sound indicating that the transmitter is matched. 4. To match additional transmitters at this time, repeat Step 3. Each vehicle can have a maximum of eight transmitters matched to it. 5. To exit the programming mode, you must cycle the key to LOCK. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope that helps! It is important to note that all of your remotes (even the ones already programmed) must be programmed under one session. If you don't, all of your current key fobs will no longer be programmed.     Service writer (jeramy) was very rude and didn't really seem to care much about what his customer Had to say. Only in it for the commision. He needs a serious class in customer service and respect. I also ran into a friend on the way out the door to go to another dealership who said he had also had Problems with jeramy. He suggested talking with chuck if I ever returned. I will not!

    The dealership was casual, no pressure, and straight forward. I did the research on line and the dealership matched the incentives I identified without question and made a fair offer for my 2003 vehicle that had over 148,000 miles. They respected what I wanted and didn't act desperate or make me wait around while someone ran back and forth getting authorization. Overall it was a pleasant experience and while I was not ready to purchase today, I plan to go back because I feel like I will get the fair deal I am seeking and are willing to go out of their way to find it for me. Jeff East the Internet Manager and Brennan, one of the Sales Reps were great individuals and very comfortable. So much better than other experiences at other dealerships. Most importantly, I appreciate their willingness to spend time on the phone with me diagnosing the problem, and providing me options and a game plan.
