I went in to this location to buy a 2017 Kia Sorento. They told me the vehicle was not certified but they would get it certified Pre-owned without any... additional fees. I proceeded with the deal. I was pre-approved thru my credit union to get the vehicle and was not interested in their financing. I was told the warranty options for the vehicle and given all the paperwork to sign. They were going to allow me to take the vehicle that same night although the banks were already closed. I was super excited. I loved the car and it was a great deal. On the top of one of the forms that describes the vehicle being purchased, it was checked that the car was used. There was a blank line next to that box and it was blank. I didn’t think anything of it since I was told what my warranty on the car was and it was pretty standard. They told me they would contact my bank and complete the sale with them and I drove home in my new car. I was waiting on my bank to process the paperwork and complete the sale. While this process was going on I looked thru the paperwork again and noticed that nothing specified the it was indeed a certified Preowned vehicle. I called Kia to ask where I could find that information. I was directed to Alonzo, the finance manager, as to where the documentation was for the pre certification. hHe told me he would send it to me when I complete the financing. I thought that’s kinda sketchy. I had conversation with my bank and they did not see anything about pre-owned certification. I called Kia again the next day and was told by Alonzo that he would only send me the pre certification document once my bank sent over the financing information. I told him I would not go through with the financing until I got documentation of the pre certification. He finally agreed to send it and it was not signed! There was a blank spot for me to sign and a blank spot for Kia to sign. I emailed him asking why it was not signed and he did not reply. I called him and asked him why it was not signed. He told me that it wasn’t signed yet bc they wanted to make sure I was actually buying the vehicle. So I asked to speak with his manager. He directed me to Ed. Who he referred to as his “director.” When I spoke with Ed, he said he was the sales manager, not the director. Ed’s 1st statement was asking about the financing. I asked him why he was asking about the financing when I asked to speak with him regarding the pre certification. He dismissed my question and proceeded to ask when financing was going to be finalized. I explained to him that I dont trust them and that they tried to sell me a car under false pretenses. I told him I was not sure if I wanted to do business with them anymore and he said I can return the car. Fortunately I recorded all of the conversation but wow!!! They are snakes
Ed Maltos worked with me patiently to help me get financing approved and worked through questions and a misunderstanding I had in a positive way. - Laura... Williams
Bryan Jackson was absolutely the best. Took care of everything for me and was very courteous.
Poor customer satisfaction commitment of the management level from CENTRAL KIA led to an overall disappointing shopping experience. We purchased a well-equipped... Soul Exclaim from CENTRAL KIA which to our disappointment had a 3 inch crack on the bottom right corner of the front bumper fascia. We were assured the small flaw on the otherwise perfect car would be fixed once the sale was finalized and we take delivery of the vehicle (we were issued a “We Owe” note). By the time we pick up the car the crack increased to a gap filled with black soft glue and held in place with what a sales consultant described, double sided tape. I questioned the seemingly embarrassed CENTRAL KIA sales associate if this was the standard to which repairs were done at the dealership. The management response I received through the sales consultant was: “This is all we will do for you and acceptable work”. VERY disappointing! KIA lost a loyal customer that day!
Hey no joke Paul Gomez is the man to go to ! He worked on a previous car that I had. Now he servicing my new car. He doesn't try to over talk you buy actually... listen to your problems. Thanks again .
I last purchased a new car about 10 years ago and was very happy with it. After well over 200K miles and years of use, it was clear….it was time for a... new vehicle. I was NOT looking forward to car shopping! It can be such a hassle to get what you want and stay within your budget…. plus, how do you know if you’ve made the right choice? I own my own business and drive quite a bit, reliable transportation is a must, but I also wanted something that looks good too. After getting overwhelmed by attempting to shop online, we drove over to Central Kia of Plano and met with General Manager Fortunes O’Neal. We wanted a late model used crossover small SUV and Fortunes showed us several great options in our price range. As it happens, a customer completed a lease agreement on a 2016 Kia Sorrento that arrived the day we were at the dealership. It was the perfect size, it had all the features we were looking for, plus several others! Holy cow, those air-conditioned seats couldn’t have come at a better time…. I never want to live through another Texas summer without them! The buying process couldn’t have been easier, and every person we encountered from the salesperson to the finance department to the receptionist was pleasant and eager to help. Since our vehicle had just been turned in and it still needed to be processed and detailed, Fortunes even arranged to have someone deliver it to our home and pick up our trade-in. Seriously, next-level service! Central Kia of Plano and Fortunes O’Neal made the car buying experience beyond easy, and I’m so grateful.
Jett and Jessica were both great. I was able to go down and snatch up this uncommonly equipped ATS-V a few days after they acquired it, same day that my... other car crapped out on me. They were very honest and they shoot straight.
Service after the sale is terrible purchased a vehicle in October Still waiting on title this was a cash buy I have called them several times they will... not return calls
Great place, cool vibe. They listen and take care of the customer. The service dept is awesome. Cleaned my car and did the tires. I'm impressed
Purchase process was great salesman was outstanding and then the finance department struck! Was supposed to get $ back from trade in within 30 days 6 weeks... later I got a check that was short 250 because they didn't pay off trade in on time which accrued late fees and reported to my credit; have tried multiple times to get the person responsible for this on the phone but he can't be bothered.... never again!
