Great service.

Great service. Had a Saturday appointment and service area was busy as expected. Was told what time my car was expected to be done and it was actually ready a few minutes early. All the item I asked to be checked were done and I’d signed up for an online oil change discounted price which was awarded to me without question.

I bought a Subaru Forester from this dealership in 2018

I bought a Subaru Forester from this dealership in 2018 (manual transmission and the last year Subaru made this model), my first new car ever, I have taken it back for service ever since. Recently I was rear ended and my baby was totaled. I called them up because I knew they would take care of me. I explained what had happened and they were just so amazing! They found me what I can only describe as the BEST possible replacement for my pride and joy after the accident. I am now the proud owner of a 2019 Subaru Forester Sport and I could not be happier!!

Beware!

Beware! The Good, The Bad, & Misleading On February 22, 2025, my warning lights started flashing on my Subaru Outback, so I drove to AutoNation Subaru for assistance. Upon arrival, my vehicle overheated. My service advisor, Stuart, was prompt and friendly, which was expected. However, what followed was far from professional. The mechanic performed a quick “Sniff Test” and immediately claimed there was an exhaust smell in the coolant system, suggesting a head gasket issue. I was skeptical, as I had my head gaskets replaced just over 4 years ago at 132k miles, and I couldn’t believe they would fail again after only 50k miles. Subaru vehicles are known for their reliability, so something didn’t add up. The service department closed for the weekend, and I was given a new loaner car. I was shown the car’s sound system and introduced to the sales team—an uncomfortable push I hadn’t asked for. I made it clear my goal was to repair my car, not to buy a new one. By Monday, I hadn’t heard anything, and on Tuesday, I received an email with some minor repair issues but no formal diagnostic report. There was no mention of compression tests or checks for hydrocarbons in the coolant system. On Thursday, my service advisor called and said they were "pretty sure" it was the head gasket issue but suggested replacing the entire coolant system first as a “step approach.” If that didn’t work, they’d move on to the head gasket replacement. This approach only reinforced my suspicion that I was being misled. As a woman, I was frustrated that I had to enlist a male counterpart to help navigate this situation. My new goal was to get my car out of their shop—by towing it if necessary. When we asked if primary compression tests had been done, we were told, “No.” My friend brought his own diagnostic tools, and the only code that appeared was “LOW COOLANT.” After adding coolant and conducting some additional diagnostics, my car has been running fine for the past 17 days. The only “repair” it needed was more coolant. I waited to write this review to ensure I wasn’t reacting impulsively. My experience of feeling preyed upon as a woman in a dealership situation was not lost on me. Fortunately, my dad had taught me a lot about cars, so I wasn’t entirely in the dark. This whole ordeal reminded me to trust my instincts and be cautious. It's disheartening to see a service center conduct itself in such a misleading and dishonest way, likely motivated by profit. I regret that I had to go through this experience, but I hope my story helps others avoid similar situations.
