First of all I know that when reviews are given there will always be someone to give a bad review over the simplest little problem. All dealerships will... have some sort of problem. It's how they handle the problem is what matters. They treat you like gold when you are buying a car but when it comes to upholding a factory flaw you're screwed! I brought both of my 2014 Focus cars in to have recall done. Ever since I got the cars they have had the famous transmission problems from day one that Ford is getting sued over. I brought it to their attention and they flashed the programs on both vehicles. That didn't cure the problem with the shuddering and near stalling and lunging forward at stops. I brought it in again and was told it needed new clutch disks but they were on back order and they would let me know when they came in. That was back in 2015. I called several times afterwards and was told each time they were still on back order. Here it is in 2018 and first of September and I brought both vehicles in for a door latch recall. I asked about the transmissions again. The service adviser told me they keep the clutch disks in stock now because of all the problems with the transmissions. I was never notified when they had them. I got the recalls done on the doors but when it comes to the transmission issue I get left behind. Every time I called I would get their voicemail and leave a message explaining the issue. Give my phone number and never get a returned call. A couple of times when I did get the service adviser he would tell me he would call me back. I never got a call back. I took my vehicles to another dealership and hoping for better service but what I got was them telling me my mileage was just over the warranty coverage. I called customer service and still got the "We are sorry but your vehicle cannot be covered". I called the dealership and told them that Ford gave me the middle finger basically and I wanted to pick up my car. They said "Sure! That will be $90 for diagnostics". Next car I get will never be a crappy FORD!!!!

I made an appointment for an oil change because I was told the appointment would facilitate the process. I was also told it would take 1.5 hours to complete... and the recommended brake fluid flush would be done at the same time. After watching my car remain untouched for 1.5 hours, I checked on the progress. I was told they just had to do the brake flush and it would be another half hour. The mechanic then put the car on the lift and began changing the oil that had allegedly already been changed. Then he began the brake flush. But the hood wouldn't stay up and, instead of using an extensible hood prop that even shade tree mechanics have, he brought out a 2x4 chunk of wood and tried to wedge it between the hood and the engine! That didn't work, so he got a pair of vice grips and clamped them onto one of the hood's gas struts, putting crimp marks on the strut's post. It took over three hours to get this kind of work done. I doubt I'll be bringing my car in for the full brake service I need. I've been taking my car to AutoNation for 15 years, thinking a big corporation would have the proper tools for the job, but apparently 2x4's and hammers are tools de jure at AutoNation.

As a retired auto dealer formally from Florida for 30+ years, my wife and recently retired to the mountains of NW Georgia. We deside we needed a pick-up... truck so we could work in flower gardens. Greg Collins is the man... He made it happen for me when I didn't even think it was possible. Hopefully I won't be shopping for a new car anytime... soon, but If I do......I know where I'm going.
