I emailed Classic Ford in Columbia on the 23rd of December to confirm the availability of a 2018 Ford Fusion Energi that was listed online for $27500.... I received an email the next morning from Shauna Kirton at Classic Ford stating the car was in stock. My wife and I drove 30+ minutes to the dealership and spoke to a Mr. Thomas Burton. Mr. Burton said that the vehicle had been traded to another dealership and was not available for sale but we could test drive it and he would find us another similar car. He then proceeded to show us two similar vehicles for 34k+ and 37k+. Neither of these two vehicles are priced similar to the advertised vehicle but were similarly equipped. We stated that we were not interested in paying any more than $27500 unless we were getting a vehicle that was better equipped and even then the price would have to be close. We then left the dealership when Mr. Burton said there was nothing that he could do. On the 26th of December I emailed Shauna Kirton at Classic Ford and explained the situation. She said that we should return to the dealership and that they could get us a Ford Fusion Energi for the listing price and that it’s “not a problem”. We returned to the dealership after I got out of work on the 26th and asked for Shauna, after a few minutes of waited Mr. Burton walked out and asked us what we are doing there and what we are trying to accomplish. We stated that we are here to buy a vehicle today. Mr. Burton again said that the vehicle that is still advertised is not available and then said that the $27500 price is not that actual price because of an unmentioned “dealer add-ons” which add another 2k to the price. We asked what sort of “add-ons” were added and he stumbled around various things like tint (there no tint on the windows). He then went to a office out of our sight and came back out with three sheets of paper. One of them was the vehicle that was advertised at $27500 and the other two were vehicles in New York and Massachusetts that were priced $36k+. He stated that those two vehicles are the only two Ford Fusion Energi’s in the country (not true there’s many according to a quick internet search. Mr. Burton said which one do we prefer and he would see how much he can get the price down to. We chose the vehicle in Massachusetts and after 15-20 minutes he came back and asked if we were recent college graduates or military. We stated no and he walked back to the office. After several more minutes he came back and said that the vehicle would be $32k+. We said that was not the advertised price of $27500 to which he responded that the price would be lower but since we weren’t recent grads or military we couldn’t lower the price and further. After wasting two days dealing with the dealership we have nothing to show for it but wasted time and frustration.

These folks have no idea about customer service. They never answer the phone and leave you on hold forever! They did not return four phone calls. I gave... up and drove out there to get a service appointment. God awful.

My husband and I received a call inquiring as to our interest in a 2016 Ford Edge. We went and looked at it and were immediately sold. The staff was very,... very friendly and helpful. Shawna and Joseph were very personable and a real 'hoot'!!! I would highly recommend asking for the specifically as they will get you the best deal.
This place does not deal fairly with potential car buyers. We test drove a Mustang today, and then made an offer. The sales manager came out and told us... he would "do $19,900 out the door". We left wanting some time to think it over, and later came back and he told us he never said that and the price went up to $21,049! We have purchased numerous cars in the past and never got jerked around as much as by this dealership. There are many other dealers in the Columbia area who are decent and keep their word. We will not be giving this place another try, and will be sure to let everyone we know in on how they deal with people.
I went in after work on a Saturday to test drive and begin the purchase process. The following monday I returned after work with my own financing to negotiate... a price and purchase the vehicle. Shortly after negotiating a price another interested buyer entered the dealership to look at the truck. My family and I ended up staying there past 9pm only to leave with an incomplete purchase order ensuring Carlos that I would be purchasing the truck once I closed on my preapproved loan with my bank. After giving the purchase order to the bank, I learned that it was incomplete. I messaged Carlos and asked for a new purchase order to be emailed to me. I was told it would be sent in a matter of minutes. Later that evening I received a text message from Carlos explaining that the truck had been sold to another dealer. I find it very insulting that anyone thinks I would believe the truck was sold to another dealer with 2 interested buyers. The truck was obviously sold to the other buyer. I suspect he offered more than my negotiated price. Therefore Classic Ford has lost my business forever and also the business of anyone I can convince to do business elswhere. Shouldn't be difficult because people dont appreciate being lied to. Furthermore I purchased a 2011 Lariat yesterday from a dealer in the upstate. Thanks for nothing. Classic Ford=Epic Mistake!
I bought a 2011 f150. Like dealerships do they pushed for me to buy an extended warranty. Paying as much as I was for the truck I bought the warranty.... Truck breaks down after some time and I go to use the warranty. Claim is denied, warranty company says truck is modified. It truck was the same as I bought it, I call the warranty company they say it was never valid if I bought the truck modifed. Call the dealership, they call me a liar and refuse to fix the truck. I finally found the previous owner and will now be filing a lawsuit for fraud. Do not go here
They had the used car and price for my trade in that with my price range. They had a good selection of cars that fit what I was looking for. Everybody... I dealt with was interested in make the sale and everything was smooth. Love the 16 Escape I purchased.
