Was approved for a loan.

Was approved for a loan. On my way to pick up the vehicle, they raised the price 4000 dollars online. I sent a text asking why the price was raised and I didn't get a response. Then the car was no longer available. Good thing I didn't waste my time driving hours to get it. Ridiculous. Bad business.

Choose Another Body Shop

I rarely take time to write reviews, and generally make it a practice only to write positive reviews for a job well done, while ignoring poor service. However, since Carolina Collision Center has asked for my review and provided links to complete it, here goes? My experience with Carolina Collision Center started fine. The staff was courteous and seemed professional enough. However, as the process went on, communication was severely lacking, and my estimator, Rick Peterman, was particularly terrible. He did not communicate well at all and he completely mismanaged my repair from start to finish. When I would leave messages it would take as much as 36-48 hours for him to return a call (during the week, not on weekends). Information was always vague from him and follow through on things we discussed often didn?t happen. Circumstances dictated that my car be repaired in Wilmington, even though I live two hours away. This was communicated clearly to the staff at Carolina Collision Center, and I was assured it would not be an issue. When I finally got the call that my car was ready (three weeks after dropping it off), without sufficient notice to rearrange my schedule, my wife and I dropped everything and travelled the two hours to pick it up only to find out they had neglected to repair the rear bumper. I was told by Rick that this was not listed as part of the repair. After a bit of a staring match, he finally relented and went inside to ?check his paperwork.? Upon returning he said, ?I?m so sorry, you?re 120% correct.? After a tepid apology he told me they?d start work immediately and it should be ready the next day (Friday), or Monday at the latest. He called about an hour later to say the repairs had begun, and it might be safer for my schedule to just pick it up Monday. He did offer $200 off the repair for my trouble, and said he?d touch base on Friday to let me know what time Monday it would be ready. I thanked him for the discount and let him know it would be used to book a hotel Sunday night so I could pick up the car Monday morning. The Friday call he promised never came. Monday morning after checking out from my hotel, I called and he tried to communicate with me through the receptionist. When I insisted he speak with me, he finally came on the line to say it wasn?t ready yet because, ?I didn?t have a painter on Friday.? So, my Monday consisted of having wasted money on a hotel room Sunday (because he failed to call Friday and inform me there wasn?t a painter available), driving two hours home to an appointment, two hours back to Wilmington to pick up the car, and two more hours back home. All this AFTER having messed up the repair in the first place. This entire experience was mismanaged and Rick Peterman?s service was utterly unprofessional. I cannot recommend strongly enough that anyone considering Carolina Collision Center choose another body shop and don?t waste your time or money here.

I went to Capital Ford of Wilmington again.

I went to Capital Ford of Wilmington again. This time for recall maintenance and to order a replacement part. Once again another great experience. All staff from the intake personnel to the parts sales clerks (Shot out to Keith Davis) are amazing. It just felt like I was among friends without pressure, when walking in. Hmmm...I will definitely visit Capital Ford when it is time to purchase my next vehicle.
