Dealer plying price games.

Dealer plying price games. Lots of add ons like nitro in tires on a used truck! I did not trust them so walked away. Stay away from this dealer as there are others that are straight up with customers.

This is categorically the most unethical dealership we

This is categorically the most unethical dealership we have ever worked with. Let me break this down. I am in Colorado. My son is stationed at Ft Bragg. He is 22. This was his first “solo” car buying experience. He’s busy training during the day and working his duty station. I helped make calls to various dealers in the area to locate a 2022 or 2023 Trailblazer. This dealer had the vehicle that met his criteria. It was advertised at $25,110. On their website they have a tab to click to see other fees. Dealer handling (of course) and a few other small fees. Tax is tax. That’s not anything they can advertise. Well my son shows up and they then slip in an extra $1700 for a “required” package that they put on each car. They said it goes on every single car they sell, yet it’s not shown in the price anywhere. It’s totally bait and switch and false advertising. They try to play this “we are the local small town dealer “ card and how they didn’t raise prices during Covid. I would respect an honest increase in advertised price vs this deceptive approach. It gets worse. My son gets to the finance table after we sifted through that deception and the shady finance guy tried to add $1400 to the sale price. My son caught that and sent me a text and I was able to stop him from signing. The finance guy said “oh they sent me wrong numbers. “ Then, he told my son that he needed to add extended warranty. He said “it’s what everyone does”. It’s a brand new car with a 5 year warranty. My son called me and I told him of course no on that. This maggot dealership tries to prey on naive young enlisted servicemen. Period. There is no other way to explain it. They are unethical beyond belief and NO ONE should do business at this place. If they will take advantage of a soldier they will take advantage of anyone. My son was fortunate that I was available and able to guide him through this and I was available during the process. Many soldiers do not have a resource available real time. Please spread the word and do not do business at Southern Pines Chevrolet.

Just purchased a certified used Equinox on July 8,2022.

Just purchased a certified used Equinox on July 8,2022. Had a brake problem 28 days latter. Contacted dealership, took vehicle in for repair. Everything was covered under warranty, with no charge to us at all. They even gave my wife a car to drive so she wouldn't have to set around the dealership while repairs were being made. Awesome customer service!! The quality of the repairs were great and all personal were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend dealership if in the market for a new or used vehicle. A special shout out to Vince Brown, Alex Knight and Chris Williams. Thanks again!!

I wish I could give 0 stars as this was the worst buying

I wish I could give 0 stars as this was the worst buying experience I've ever had. They caused 3 separate hard inquiries on my credit when working on the financing, and added a bunch of unnecessary extras into the cost. Car was sold to me with a broken rear camera, broken tailgate latch and bad wheel bearing. Prior to signing the paperwork, salesman said they ordered a camera to fix the rear camera, and would look at the tailgate latch when I come in for the camera replacement. Meanwhile, I drove out of state in the car the day after purchase, and find out once arriving at my destination that a wheel bearing needs to be replaced. Southern Pines salesman tells me to take it to the local dealership, and that they would work with the dealership to cover it. Take it in, get it fixed, then all of a sudden, salesman/Southern Pines changes the story. They won't cover it or even assist with the cost, so I pay for it just so I can get back home and figure I'll deal with them later. I take the car in to get the camera replaced, and the salesman I was working with and the service manager are both unavailable. After they look at the tailgate latch, and it's indeed broken. The lady in service says she'll check the warranty and with the salesperson, and will call me back about it. Now, no one at the dealership will take my calls or call me back. I'm out an extra $650 on the wheel bearing, and still need to get the tailgate latch fixed. Run far and fast if you're looking for a used car, Southern Pines does NOT stand by their cars or care at all about their customers.

Service?

Service? What service? They are like sharks. Took my Vaddy in for my rear brake light and blinker I was told I would need the entire back assembly kit. Keith did not look at fuses electrical or bulbs. He automatically said I need a whole assembly kit even though I told him I watched a dozen videos of people changing the bulbs. SHAM SHAM AND SHAME ON YOU. DOING IT MYSELF AND I HAD AN APPT BUT WOULDNT TAKE TIME TO EVEN CHECK THE FUSES. NEVER EVER GO THERE! WARNING.

Consumer response

This was nothing but a waste of my time. Keith sat in hi chair looking for kits instead of sèeing if there was a simple problem fix. He INSISTED I needed the whole asswmbly kit without even looking at it! Ive watched a dozen videos on 2006 srx Cadillacs where you take the cover off, its a process yes but your only buying the bulb.. when I called for an appointment. The lady told me what the quote would be after I told her what was wrong with my tail light the blinker in the brake lights are not working. She put me on hold and then she came back with a quote of 62 $90 for the bulb replacement okay. It was just a waste of my time, even having an appointment they still could not check the fuses or electrical oh, they just made it seem like I was wasting their time. I was very very agitated with them. I will not be back oh, I will however respond soon after the bulbs have been replaced without getting the whole assembly and Keith can know what he did wrong.
