Poor business Central Chevrolet

Unethical business dealing with this dealership. I had 4 lemons in a row and they had my vehicle for a month and did no repairs nor they offer me a alternative method of transportation.

Bad Service

Had car towed to Central on a weekend and left there with key and instructions on the problem. The service dept did not call us. We called a week later and they said they would look at the next day. Called back two days later and they said it would be the next week. We called them back and left a message and did not get a return call. Called them back the next day which was Thursday and they told us that it needed a new engine. They had just replaced Rear Main Seal and about $500 or more work in February. That job took over two weeks and had point out to them rear main seal was under a technical service bulletins to be replaced at no charge. I have an awful feeling about the quality of work and communication in this department. We have bought two cars there and they did even refer us to help get car replaced when we told them we would not be spending 8K with them to replace the engine. I would do business with them with great caution.

Not great.

When entering the customer service rep was busy texting on her phone. She took a bit to greet us and when she did she was busy texting. I was also charged 5.00 for something that made no sense. I was charged a hefty fee for a tire rotation that is usually included in my oil change at other Chevy dealerships. Overall, not a good experience. My normal dealer was booked and I needed an oil change. We will not return to this location if it can be avoided.

Ceramic Coating Ripoff

I purchased a 2020 vehicle from Central Cadillac on October 15, 2020. I also paid to have a ceramic coating out on vehicle because salesman told me it would cover damage due to pecks and dings. He said, “they’ll even repaint the whole vehicle if that’s what it takes”. Well, I received a peck from a piece of chat popping up on four lane to LR. Now sales manager is saying ceramic warranty DOES NOT cover pecks. Said he would talk with the salesman that told me it would and would call me back. Haven’t heard anything. I am not a happy customer.

We have now had the 2nd bad experience with the service department. The first bad experience we scheduled a service on a 2019 truck purchased at Central. My son arrived early in the morning as they had scheduled. At about noon they still had not finished but indicated they were about finished. At about 4-5 p.m. they finally came to my son and informed him that they had lost his keys and was making a new key. His key also contained his house key. A few days later they called and said that they had his keys. They finally admitted that another customer had found our keys in their vehicle. The second one was about 3 weeks ago. After servicing the same vehicle my son said they they failed to reset the system so it was still showing a service was needed and no sticker was in the vehicle. Now today we have discovered that the vehicle is leaking oil from the oil filter. I called Central and told them of the problem and informed them that my son had to drive 4 hours later today. They said that because we had not scheduled this they may not be able to get to looking at the filter but would try. The person that answered the phone said that they had a lot of new people and they were not experienced. HMMM!
