First, let me say that the sales people that I worked with were very helpful and courteous. Beyond that, not a good experience. I actually have tried... to purchase a couple of vehicles from them. My first complaint would be that not only do they add a hefty dealer fee, but they also add a "etch" fee to their vehicles. Do a little research and you will quickly find that dealers use this as a way to make extra profit. In fact you can have it done fairly cheap. They use it as a way to add $249. So basically they list their vehicles for cheaper than they end up actually costing you. Basically add $700 , and that's what you're actually paying (before taxes). Even with all of this, I had recently decided that I was going to buy a truck from them. The sales manager sent me the deal sheet, but I was unable to make it over there for a few days. I asked if it would be possible to make a deposit to hold it for a couple days. His response was "No I don't hold vehicles." Fortunately for me, another local dealership got in a vehicle that was closer to what I was looking for, and better priced. And as of this review (2 weeks later), that vehicle is still listed on their website. Funny how things work out.
My parents bought a car from them with an extended warranty. The car was totaled in an accident on May 1 and the dealership requested a refund on their... warranty so they could send it to the finance company to pay the car off. My parents were told that Grayson received the check from the warranty company and had mailed it to the finance company, but the girl had mailed it to the wrong address. My parents were told they got the check back and mailed it to the finance company again, but here it is the middle of July and the finance company has not received it. So my parents can not get another vehicle until the one in question is paid in full meanwhile this is reflecting bad on their credit and it is all of Grayson’s fault. They will give you good customer service until you complete the paperwork on a vehicle and then they don’t care what happens to you after that. I would advise everyone to go somewhere else and not go to this car lot for anything.
The repairs to my car were done in a very timely manner!!! They did an exceptional job!!! I was blown away on how efficient, friendly, and knowledgable... they were!!! Josh and Rebecca were amazing. I had several difficulties with the other parties insurance company. Josh was always respectful and treated me like I was his best friend. I called to keep him informed and when I told him my name he knew which car was mine and the details of everything involved! When I picked my car up he knew I was going to be cutting it close due to other appointments I had for my daughter. He still knew me on sight and called me by name. (He hadn't seen me in almost 2 months) but he knew my name and my car. He was amazing with my 5 year old as well. He made her feel like her car was being fixed and she was helping. I would recommend that anyone who wants the process of getting your car fixed after an accident to bring it to Grayson Subaru. They will help you every step of the way. They went above and beyond my expectations. You will not be disappointed!!! If you read this Josh from the bottom of my heart thank you for being so understanding and patient with me. Even when I yelled at you for something beyond your control. You took it like a champ!!!
First let me say the body shop folks were terrific and would recommend them. The Service Dept seemed unorganized and had a bad traffic flow established... for the customers. Subaru's to the right - Hyundai's to the left -- that seems logical until you put it into practice. Once I stood in the Subaru line for 20 minutes while the Hyundai had no traffic come through -- they told me I would need to go to the parts department to check on what I needed. The parts department guy may have been having a bad day but he was very unpleasant to the point that I felt like I was interrupting his nap time. I was not impressed with the Service and Parts Dept. However, would strongly recommend their body shop if you needed a repair. I would suggest going to or calling the body shop and deal directly with them.
I always take my car to the dealer because I believe they provide quality service and are more honest about what repairs your car needs. Not here. I called... for an oil change, was quoted $35.95 and then charged $60. My car takes synthetic oil yet somehow these brainless techs put conventional oil in. The service was slow (almost 2 hours for an oil change when I had an appointment) and they didn't even reset the service interval on my car. Bottom line, unethical, immoral and terrible service!
Last year my wife went for a scheduled oil change with our two kids (1yo and 3yo). Took them over 3 hours to do the job. Today she went with an other problem... they told her they will have a rental for her in 15 minutes, she was waiting with two kids again for over 2 hours. Couple of years ago I took the car to have a badly installed door seal replaced. They gave me the car back with the new seal having about a 2 inch loop hanging from the door. When I got the facility manager he said it is not a big deal. I guess wasting costumers time is not a big deal for these people.
NOT good experience! Staff very nice before sale. After went back to advise of issues-not. Floorboard flooded (showed them video), exhaust leak into cabin... (showed CO monitor #), windshield wipers don't work as should, struts bad, check engine light on (replacement of knock sensor didn't fix-probably electrical), rear brake caliper bad. Reply from grayson....well, it was sold as is. I accept responsibility for "sold as is". But, a little consideration for customer service and satisfaction would have been nice. Lesson: if the salesman is so insistent on it has to be bought that very night...be weary. All of the problems happened before the very first loan pmt due.
I went to buy a used car advertised on their website as being $1999.00, including $498.00 processing fee. I said write it up, and the out the door price... was over $3100.00, including the $498.00 processing fee. They say it was changed in the fine print. I won't ever use them again because they are crooked.
We expressed our interest in a 2010 Acura last night and emailed the dealership. I filled out the pre approval app and received an email asking for our... trade VIN #. I sent it 20 minutes after it was requested and was answered with an email that they would work on it right then. Four hours later I called to check the status since I had never gotten another email and was told the car sold two hours ago. We are about an hour away so I wasn’t able to go to the dealership that exact moment. Thanks for completely ignoring the fact that we had been emailing and that I was interested in one of your vehicles. Typical car salesman behavior.
We appreciate the inquiry and credit application. We sent two emails initially, received a response, sent two more then made a call where we were t...old that the customer would call us back at lunchtime. After that we received an email with the VIN on the trade in and were working on an approval. We are at the mercy of the lender as we have to submit information to lenders for approval and sometimes it can take awhile to get a response (or we get a decline on the loan and try to work it out with the lender to see if we can get an approval somehow to help the customer). We apologize that the bank's turn around was not fast enough for this particular vehicle.
FAILED TO HONOR COMMITMENTS: My daughter and I visited the Grayson dealership last week. We drove a few Santa Fe Hyundai and found one we liked. They... hustled us in to the office and tried to close the deal. Because my husband and I tend to be cautious we decided to take the sales manager signed deal sheet and consider it over the weekend. I live out of state, so my husband made contact with the salesman Terran and the Sales Manager Rick via email. They assured my husband via text and email that they would stand behind their price as quoted on the SIGNED deal sheet. Fast forward a week of very frustrating email communications. The sales manager Rick admitted on the phone that my husband was "smarter than most" and that Rick had made a mistake by not including certain fees. He 'could not" honor the numbers on the SIGNED deal sheet despite having assured me personally in the dealership and twice via email that he would stand behind the numbers on his deal sheet. He had 3 opportunities to catch his mistake and admit it instead he chose to die on his sword by trying to make it seem like we misunderstood. Our daughter was in Rick's office today to try to get the deal done and we were on the phone assisting her, when he made a side comment to our daughter "bless you" intimating that she had to put up with a lot having parents like us. When it became clear that the deal was not going to happen he began talking to our daughter saying "this is a good lesson for you..." intimating again that she/we were in the wrong. At that time I told my daughter that he was out of line and she needed to leave the dealership. I called the sales manager's boss Jim and left a message because he wasn't available, he hasn't called me back yet. Having read the dealer responses to the other complaints on this website and others, I am fairly certain any response will be similar to our treatment so far. If you are in the market for a car I would approach Grayson with extreme caution and run your own numbers--but it probably won't do you any good in the end because they won't honor them them anyway. Wish I could give them a negative 5 rating. Good luck.
