i have had a great experience with the Medved dealership in Castle rock. Wilfred was was my sales person. he was very helpful and never pressured me to buy my Cheve Cruze, which is one of the best cars i have ever owned. the service department is very friendly and fast. this has been a great experience and i will return here for my future car purchases. My wife and I were in the market for a larger vehicle with a child on the way. She decided she liked the Chevy Tahoe and during a cursory search, we found one at Medved in Castle Rock. I called the salesman, Steve Boatman, and explained that I wanted my wife to look at the vehicle to see if a Tahoe was truly what she wanted as she had not been inside one. I am a firefighter and work 24 hours so I was unable to be there when she went down. (Our schedules don't coincide well) The salesman stated that he would treat here like she was his own wife. According to her, she was treated well and for that, I am thankful. My wife decided that she liked the vehicle and wanted to make the purchase. This is where I made the mistake of not insisting she wait for me. The purchase process was ok according to her but there were/are issues with the vehicle itself. The hood was in need of repainting and luckily, that was taken care of. My concern is that used vehicles are supposed to undergo an inspection. The passenger side mirror does not work. I consider that a safety feature. There is also a dent in the front right quarter panel. I saw it in the photo my wife sent me that night immediately when she got home from the dealer. When I asked the salesman about these items, I was told that the mirror would be taken care of but the dent would not unless we paid for it as he did not notice it that evening. Disappointing for sure. I was told the mirror required a part to be ordered and it would be fixed within 10 days. That was over a month ago and now none of my phone calls will be returned. Multiple calls to the sales manager and the salesman have not been answered or returned. This is just a great lesson that you absolutely cannot rely on anyones word and anything you need or want must be in the "we owe" paperwork. Check, double check and then have a mechanic check any used vehicle and never rely on anyone's word. I take responsibility for allowing the purchase without me being there. Overall, the vehicle is really nice and I am thankful that my wife was treated respectfully. The issues we have seem minor but the handling of these concerns has been so disappointing. Gone are the days of good customer service. It seems that now, the customer provides the service. I believe in honesty and a persons word, as naive as that may be, but will pass along my lesson learned as best I can in the only way I know how. I truly hope this helps others out there. Buyer beware.
