    At 85,000 miles, my 2014 Hyundai Elantra began make a horrible noise that sounded like it was coming from deep inside the engine block. This is the fourth... Elantra I've bought from Hatfield Hyundai and, aside from the one that my daughter totaled, it is the only one that had any problems before 220,000 miles. I took it to the dealer and Rich explained that some of the Elantras made that year had problems with the angle the cylinders were machined, which causes the pistons to rub. Eventually metal is chipped off and things go downhill from there. I was reassured that my 100,000 mile, 10-year drive train warranty covers this and there would be no charge to me. I was also told, and it was confirmed by my long-time family mechanic, that the car was no longer safe to drive. Within a week, I was given a loaner Elantra to drive while mine was in the shop. It took three months for Hatfield to get a new half-engine block from the manufacturer, but once they got it, my car was ready within 48 hours. My car is running beautifully! I have been highly satisfied with my experiences with this dealer. They have been honest about the few problems I have had with my cars. Buying a new car has always been a pleasant experience here and the service personnel have always been respectful of me and of my sometimes unusual descriptions of car problems.

    We've purchased several Hyundais from Hatfield, and each experience has been good. Good enough that when my mother needed a car, I took her there.... They take time learn what you're looking for and to make sure they get it right. When they found the Tuscon I wanted but it ended up being a color I didn't like, they found another dealer that had one I did like, and got it to me the next day. I've also haff their shop do several things. John the service manager is always friendly and accommodating. When I'm in a hurry he gets what I need done on the spot.
