*Disclaimer* the Better Business Bureau has already been contacted. Additionally, we looked into Lemon Law information and since the vehicle was a used vehicle, we weren't able to receive help from the places we contacted. My wife and I bought a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica minivan on April 22, 2023 from Blaise Alexander Dodge Jeep Ram in State College, PA. The check engine light came on after just the few first weeks after buying it, to which the dealership told us it was due to a faulty motor in one of the side door handles (never replaced by them; they ordered the wrong one and then never ordered a new one). A few weeks after that, the van shut off on us while driving on interstate 80 with our 3 young kids inside (including our 1 week old newborn). We were told by the dealership that the van shuts off when it needs updates. We found that EXTREMELY hard to believe as that would be unbelievably unsafe. Dealership updated the van and gave it back 2 days later. Then, it shut off on us again while driving (thankfully not on I80) and the dealership told us that hybrids act funny when they are low on battery. That also seemed like a ridiculous explanation since we will always run out of battery for how far we live from our son's school, grocery stores, etc. The van sat at the dealership because we told them that we would not be putting our kids back in that vehicle until they figured out the problem. As of a few weeks ago (after the van had been there for a month), the dealership told us that it needs a new transmission due to a faulty PCM encased within it but that they can no longer allow us to have a loaner vehicle even though it will be at least 9 MONTHS until the transmission is fixed and obviously we cannot drive the unsafe van in the meantime. My wife and I completely understand that parts take a long time to come in but to not be able to provide us with a loaner vehicle when none of this was our fault seemed like really poor customer service. At this point we asked to meet with them to discuss options of getting rid of the van. We asked to trade the van for another vehicle on their lot (same value) or a full refund. They refused both. We only had a few days to figure this problem out because they were requesting our loaner back, we need a second vehicle, and it has to be able to fit 3 car seats. We ended up selling it back to them (after asking several other dealerships about our problem and of course we disclosed the faulty transmission). We lost $13,000 for a vehicle we hardly drove! The manager of the dealership said they were going to make the van "not their problem" and I see they have it FOR SALE the very next day after buying it back from us. No check engine light or error codes will pop up for people who buy this van and it could very well cause an accident! It has the same VIN # so we know it's the same van we owned. Also, they commented back on a post about this saying the site automatically updated when they purchased the vehicle back. Thats highly unlikely since they posted it for $800 more than we paid originally, with UPDATED milage. Absolutely disgusting.

I very much enjoyed dealing with Tim P and Ryan M.
I very much enjoyed dealing with Tim P and Ryan M. They were very helpful and honest given I was buying a used car, sight unseen from 500 miles away. Normally I get very frustrated with pushy and dishonest xx but I never felt that way working with them. The car was needed quickly as a surprise for my wife and Tim was very helpful. He expedited all the paperwork so the car could be shipped ASAP. Yes I recommend dealing with them if you need arises.

They never gave tangible information about the vehicle, I was contacted by two different people Hugo and another person that I couldn't remember his name right now. Replied both of them but they never got back to me regarding the subject vehicle. The experience was awful...I cannot recommend the dealership!

Never mind Brandon, we've got one already! Thanks for your swift response to my review...T'was a great experience indeed!
They charged me for unnecessary repairs.
This is the second time I have taken a jeep to this place, and the second time they ripped me off. (Well, the first time I argued my case and got it changed in my favor). This time I had a headlight that sometimes was on and sometimes was off. My dad said usually that means that the computer needs to be re-flashed. Cool. I took it in, told them that it wasn't the headlight itself because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Later the tech came to tell me that it was indeed the bulb and it was $350 to replace. I said "but it is on sometimes--so it isn't burnt out". he said "yeah that sometimes happens as lights get old". Ok, I figured he was the expert right? I paid over $360 that day. The following day I walked around the jeep to see.....the headlight was out AGAIN. As I had stated to them it WAS NOT THE HEADLIGHT. I was right. I called to explain that they mis-diagnosed a perfectly good part and I had to spend $350 to replace a working part. So how do we go about getting me my money back because I SHOULD NEVER HAVE NEEDED TO PAY THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE? No. Too bad. They said to bring it back in for MORE diagnosis......so MORE that I have to pay for? Is this the business model? Claim parts are not working, charge people for them, then when the problem is not fixed, shrug and say "guess you need to come in and spend more money?" I haven't shared the previous story which involves them trying to charge me for a new GPS system when mine died while under warranty. So with that issue I had many years ago and NOW getting charged $350 to change out a perfectly good part, I have to assume that the business model is to change out random things, charge the customer even if the work was not needed, and then make them come back in to spend more money in the hopes of maybe sometime getting the right thing changed out. Buyer beware. 2/2 experiences with them have been getting ripped off. Go to another location, or get a second opinion before letting them change out ANYTHING.

I’ve read over some of these reviews and I can tell you...
I’ve read over some of these reviews and I can tell you Blaise Alexander Jeep in State College is our preferred dealer for service and purchases. I’ve dealt with a variety of mechanics, really like the workmanship of Cody and Dave; really like Tim Piper, Jimmy and Mike Warner - fair, down to earth and knowledgeable about the products they sell and give great deals. I no longer go to any other dealership!
