    I have been here twice now in 2 years looking to buy a vehicle because its local to me. Both times I have left because they have absolutely refused to... move on prices. If you look on their website it shows potential costumers KBB prices, but if you try talking prices with them they state that they go off of NADA values. Of course NADA is a higher price for their vehicles, but when you look into trading in a car they quote KBB price for yours and still low ball it. I will never set foot on their lot again. If you do end up going here for whatever your reason my be, see salesman Ralph Holmstrom, he was awesome and a great salesman. ***Avoid Sales Manager Mike WIlson at all costs. Horrible costumer service, has no care for your opinion at all, with the "I'm right, your wrong" attituede***.

    Brent, We are sorry that you feel we were unwilling to work with you. I wish that were the case, but we were able to work with you and came in nearl...y $100 below where you said you needed to be at with your own bank, and moved nearly $1000 to get there. The first time you came in, we also moved over $500 on your trade to help get closer to what you wanted. Even if we had come up to where you wanted to be at the first time you visited us, unfortunately we still would not have been at the payment you wanted simply because of the vehicle you were interested in. After we try to work with you and help you get to where you need to be this time, you refuse to talk with us, and instead post an online review. KBB is a wonderful guide, which is why we use it, but there are many more guides out there that we also use as just that, guides. You will find at any reputable used car lot that guides are used to get a good idea of what a vehicle may be worth. You know just as well as we do that there are many other factors that go into pricing, and sometimes we have to be firm on a price of a vehicle. These guides do not take in to account the multitude of aftermarket parts and accessories that were also on the Jeep you were looking at. The guides are a great source of information, and I would be willing to bet that if we were selling the Jeep below the KBB suggested value, you wouldn't like if we raised the price so that it fell into the KBB guide?You should also note that KBB, NADA, BlackBook, and all the other guides are neither buying nor selling you the vehicle. -Shottenkirk Mount Pleasant

    I was shopping for a truck and had sent several offers out, most dealerships didn't even bother responding. While the truck they had was a little more... than I wanted to spend, they responded cordially to my offer and were willing to work with me. I bought a truck elsewhere and J.D. actually took the time to ask me about it after the fact. I can't believe all the bad reviews. If the other dealership hadn't snapped up my offer, I would have worked with these guys on a new RAM with rebates in a heart beat, despite the distance. These guys took the time when few others could be troubled. I was impressed.

    The Shottenkirk Mt. Pleasant team is very professional and efficient ! Everything about buying a new vehicle there was a smooth process and we felt right... at home in their beautiful facility. Would recommend them above anyone else in the area. Great job and thanks again.

    Got prompt reply. Total price on line included brand loyalty discount which was in fine print at bottom of ad. That should have been more prominent in... the ad. Did not have current brand of vehicle and therefore did not purchase this vehicle. Advertising needs to be easier for average buyer to understand.

    I normally don't write reviews, but I was really disappointed in their customer service. I inquired about a vehicle that I was very interested in and... they kept blowing me off for a week until the car I was interested sold. Would not recommend this dealership based on the level of customer service.

    Slow to return info. Would like to have salesperson not to an assistant that had to talk to the salesperson for the info needed.

    Purchased a 04 avalanche 2500 from Alex and he was on the ball. I spotted the truck on cars.com and emailed the dealership on a Sunday night. By Monday... 10am he had contacted me via email and he said it was still available and would get me some pictures ASAP. Three days later I purchased the truck from Alex and had it shipped to Michigan. The truck was as advertised and was also better then the pictures that he had sent me. Thanks to Alex and the whole team for a great purchase. Will definitely purchase another vehicle from them in the future.

    During Oil change there was dripping of oil off the new oil filter!! Very, Very messy! They overfilled the engine crankcase!!

    I met Bob Shottenkirk when he opened up his first store in Fort Madison 26 years ago. I have had nothing but personal experiences with his dealerships... and have become a personal friend with his entire family. Our salesman Jared Zueck was very polite and nice to my wife and myself.
