Horrible Dealership
This dealership is horrible and does illegal transactions. I have bought a few cars from them. To make a long story short, my ex-boyfriend, Kevin B, traded my car in for another one in someone else’s name. They allowed it, Kevin signed his name to trade the car in. The car was supposed to be paid off in 10 days and someone at Danbury Jeep realized they couldn’t pay off the car, as I had the title. Emails went back and forth, Sal, general manager, replied to my email being very nasty. End result, they said they are cancelling the deal and flatbed the car to me. I have the paperwork for the bill of sale, the odometer reading, the receipt that the plates were turned in and the registration. So they ruined a relationship with one customer, so satisfy another customer who they did an illegal transaction with. I offered them the title before they brought the car back to me and they said no. If I could give them 0 stars I would.
We are sorry for any confusion in this matter. When the vehicle was presented for trade against the purchase of a new vehicle, our initial proposal included it in the calculation for the deal. This was always contingent upon a proper title being presented and/or loan pay-off details being confirmed. When it was brought to our attention that the gentlemen did not have the title and the vehicle was in your name, the original offer was rescinded, and a new deal was written without the trade. Subsequently, as the vehicle belongs to you, and you declined to pick it up, it was returned as soon as possible at our expense. We apologize for any inconvenience, but the vehicle would not have been accepted for final trade without the proper paperwork being submitted.

If I was asked for it in a nice way. Not rude like I was asked, when I was at work, I received a phone call saying when you go home, look for it, it would be in your best interest. And being a dealership, I should have been notified within a week or 10 days that the deal wasn’t going through. Not me reaching out to you for information. Horrible way to do a deal because it’s Kevin B? And I know you have done this before for him as well as others. Your dealership lets Kevin B, and probably others, to do 3rd party deals.
Ms. Waxman, we're not sure as to what you are referring. According to our records both you and your ex-partner have done business on a number of occasions with multiple of our dealerships without complaint, so we are unsure what went wrong in this instance. We hope you are able to come to a mutually agreeable resolution with Kevin regarding this vehicle.
You aren’t sure what I am referring to? Let me know you don’t know and I will be happy to explain. Yes we have bought cars from your dealerships. And now I am hearing and researching how wrong your dealership is for doing this. And I know Sal, has been doing it for him for 13 years. And Kevin has done this with other women, 3rd party “straw” deals. Like I said if I wasn’t told it would be in my best interest and was asked, please just send the title. It would have been done. I see this as your dealership trying to be a bully and bring me back the car, when I can’t afford it. And as I said it took your dealership well over 10 days, about 15 to let me know. Which actually I had to contact you. I’ll keep on saying it, it’s a horrible way of doing business and wrong for doing 3rd party deals.
We're very sorry that you were taken advantage of by your former partner. We hope you are able to resolve the situation as soon as possible.
The dealership has advantage of me as well. That it was a third party that was allowed and Sal had allowed over 13 years. I have the written contract, receipt for turning in my plates. It’s both of you that took advantage!!!! You are ignoring the facts and playing innocent. The prosecutor’s office would like to see my papers I’m sure
1/7/2023 you don’t have to respond privately. Saying the car was returned to me at your expense. And that you don’t want to get further drawn into anything between me and Kevin. You are already drawn in as you did wrong which you refuse to acknowledge. I’m not going to be the one who suffers when I did nothing wrong. Again you have been doing 3rd party deals and your employee, actually new sales manager, could have said can you sign the title and send or bring it up here. Instead of it’s in your best interest to find the title and give it to us. Just an fyi I will be going further in every way I can.

You would think that in this day and age, dealerships
You would think that in this day and age, dealerships would make it easier for customer out of state to get the information they requested before driving 6 hours… I first contacted the dealership when the vehicle was first offered for sale, at that moment it was being service and had no picture of the vehicle but were very insisting instead in putting me in a brand new Kia which I wasn’t interested, they harass me for a week until I tell them to leave me alone Finally a few weeks later I saw that their were finally picture of the vehicle online so I decided to contact them again… what a big mistake, salesman insisted on getting my phone number and promise he’d get back to me with the information I wanted, few days goes by, nothing from them so I contacted them again saying that if you can provide me with the information I requested, can I set up an appointment with another dealership to which they finally answer me back that it was just service there… So I ask them a few days ago to send me a copy of their inspection reports from that dealership… they finally got back to me today saying that the vehicle was just sold…. Very very bad customer service. Funny thing is that I was planning on replacing my wife Suv for a brand new telluride at the same time that I would have done the deal for the other one so not only you guys lost on a used car sale, you also lost on the sale of a brand new one Please be aware, if you’re out of state or ask them to much question about the condition of the vehicle, they’ll just ignore you
We're sorry you are disappointed in your experience. Unfortunately, with inventory being so tight due to supply chain issues, vehicles are available on a first-come, first-service basis. While we try to provide as much information as possible by phone and email, we must defer to showroom traffic. We hope you are able to find a vehicle to meet your needs soon.
Please, don’t blame the incompetence of your staff on the market right now! You guys just drop the ball and you should at least be honest about it. Don’t tell me that from the first email from Mike on dec 28 and Virginia on Dec 29 until January 31st, no one had a chance to provide me with the information I requested. Been in the business for 25 years, 10 of those in dealership. I know how salesman are but that’s cool, blame the market!! Edit: Just wanted to point out that I’m not questioning the supply chain issue, even though on a used car that has already been manufactured, not like I’m waiting on a brand new Kia but anyway…. I’m aware of the disruption, what I was trying to point out is that, in this particular instance, it’s not the case!
