Another good buying experience

This is our 5th Subaru purchase (Forester, 2 Outbacks and 2 Legacy's). My husband convinced me to purchase the 2018 Legacy with the latest safety features. I loved the 2015 and didn't think it was possible to like this one better, but I do. The suspension system is different so it rides even better and the cabin is quieter. We have returned due to the quality of the vehicles, quality of the service and employees. Our go-to salesman, Brian Cox, is easy and comfortable to talk with, provides a very complete introduction to the vehicle of our interest with no pressure. Everyone we have been in contact with at McLaughlin has been helpful and efficient. Robert Coronado processed the paperwork very quickly and is also a pleasure to deal with. I like the Reading Room vs the waiting room with the television and consider that a real plus when I go for service.

No Pressure

We met with Matt Campbell this past week and I will admit, I was very hesitant to do so. After having some poor experiences with high pressure salesmen at other dealerships, I really was on guard. However, I discovered it was all for naught. Not only is Matt extremely knowledgeable about the products he is selling, he listened to what our needs were as well as what our concerns were with high regard for us as customers. We felt valued and will be recommending Matt and McLaughlins with much enthusiasm!

3rd car

This is my third car from McLaughlins and Dan. He is a great guy. Got a good price for the Volvo I bought and was giving a fair trade for my car. Very friendly.

Matt Campbell's knowledge and approach excellent

Matt Campbell's spent a lot of time with us, explaining the intricacies of the Subaru line of SUV's and the Impreza and did not try to over sale the product. We learned a lot from him and he is definitely a sales person that I would highly recommend!!!

They destroyed my 2008 Subaru Forester

For their service I should say "no stars" at all. My 2008 Subaru Forester has been serviced by them for the last 2 years and a half, first time I drove from Moline to Galesburg without coolant. A year later I had to change the radiator. My head gaskets failed and they changed in 2015, Subaru of America paid for it, for the last 2 years, I have drove a car with a cracked head gaskets spraying oil everywhere to a point that my car almost got on fire without knowing it. There was black oil all over the motor and smoking coming under the hood. Last time I made a complaint of smoking coming under the hood after an oil change "they told me it was just an oil spill". Then to finish killing my Subaru, my last oil change, they left the drain oil plug loose. I park on a gravel driveway and I did not notice more of the oil leak besides the head gaskets . When I bought the car to another dealership in town I found out the cracked head gaskets, the drain plug loose and the most surprising was "you have oil sprayed everywhere in your motor up and under . It will be impossible for a mechanic not noticed that. Who has been servicing you? I won't bring there again, maybe bring to another Dealership in Peoria , but no Moline. I had no words when I heard that! I always trusted Subaru Services in the East Coast, that is when I moved to the Midwest I thought here will be the same, I even brought my car on a trailer to avoid driving over 3,000 miles when I moved. Well I was wrong! They killed my 2008 Subaru Forester. Hope you are not lucky to get the same service that I did that destroyed my car.

New Forester after car crash

Best experience I have had buying a new car. I look forward to work with this dealership for all my service needs. Warranties and financing review was thorough and concise. The car was delivered quickly as I needed a car after mine was totaled as a result of being hit in a police car chase. The people here were friendly and didn't mind my hockey and fishing stories.

Best experience I've ever had buying a new car.

I am a very hard person to sell a car to. I don't like the whole process. HOWEVER, buying our Subaru from Brian was awesome. He was not pushey, he was very knowledgeable, and he was very in tune to our needs. I would recommend him to ANYONE.
