⭐☆☆☆☆ — Champion CDJR Brighton / Salesperson: David Wade In April 2025, I leased a Dodge Charger EV (demo unit, ~800 miles, $75k MSRP) through salesperson David Wade. The car wouldn't start the very next day. What followed was 11 months of one of the worst consumer experiences I've ever had. The car spent 8 of those months in the shop. Brighton CDJR was unable to diagnose why it wouldn't hold a 12V battery charge — on a brand new vehicle. They eventually admitted they had no idea how to fix it. It took a completely different dealership (one closer to Stellantis US HQ) to make any meaningful progress, and even then the car continued to have issues. During this time, I was towed over 10 times. I was repeatedly told the car was fixed. It wasn't. David Wade assured me he would "take care of me." Instead, the dealership: • Refused to swap me into a working vehicle of the same model • Refused to buy me out of my lease • Offered only insulting alternative lease terms, labeling the Charger as negative equity No one should have to fear putting their children in a brand new car. This vehicle would lock up and strand me without warning. I was left with no choice but to pursue lemon law and file suit. It was, per my attorney, a straightforward case. The lawsuit settled in December, though I didn't return the vehicle until mid-March — because the third-party lemon case administrator for Stellantis was overwhelmed with the volume of cases. That alone tells you something. The only positive thing I can say: one service manager was decent. That's it

Huge shoutout to David for making this one of the easiest car buying experiences I’ve had. Super responsive, great attitude, and went the extra mile to get everything lined up perfectly. Even handled home delivery which made it effortless on my end. Really appreciate all the work definitely ask for David if you’re in the market!

WORST DECISION IVE EVER MADE WAS BUYING A USED 2017 COMPASS FROM HERE! DO NOT GO HERE! DO NOT PURCHASE OR HAVE YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT CROOKS WHO WANT YOUR MONEY! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROADS!! IVE NEVER HAD SUCH ISSUES WITH A VEHICLE LET ALONE ONE THAT COST 18K!!! DO BETTER! YOU GUYS SUCK!

DO NOT PURCHASE OR LEASE from this place. They didn't pay off the trade-in until two weeks after we leased a vehicle. Two billing statements from the previous vehicle say we owe over $800.00. They also didn't show us the car we wanted to see but brought out another color/style. If they don't let you see what you want to see, LEAVE and take your business elsewhere. I am happy I waited to complete the other review that benefits the salesperson.

I had a simple question about a discrepancy in one of their listings. That led to me having to opt of text messages, block the dealership's number, and block their e-mails to stop the harassment. Unbelievably high pressure and unprofessional.

Horrible customer service. I took my Dodge Ram in for a recall repair and asked for a quote on my fog light. Dealer price was high so I didn’t replace it. I got the truck back and the whole fog light mechanism was gone. I looked under the truck and saw it dangling. Dealer won’t fix the issue after several attempts. I would highly recommend not dealing with these incompetent and unwilling folks who have no customer service skills.

Great experience at Champion servicing my Jeep. Able to get in quickly unlike other dealers and they took care of me when my warranty wouldn’t cover a fix.

This is the worst dealer for sales and service. I bought a vehicle that started misfiring less than 60 days after buying. I took it to them, Cadillac and Champion Chevy Howell and no one can figure out what is happening. My vehicle is still misfiring and Mark told me there is nothing he can do. So i should just pay the note and deal with it? I've already spent thousands. And now I'm fed up. I'll be on every platform. Taking to social media next.
