Update: August 6, 2024 So here we are again.

Update: August 6, 2024 So here we are again. I thought I’d give Goldstein Subaru another chance. I kept calling for an appointment, as promised, but I was continually told that someone would call me back. Yet, no one has. My father even called, and we were both repeatedly told that we would receive a call back. This situation reinforces my previous point: Goldstein Subaru makes promises but simply doesn't deliver. They are eager to take your money, but when it comes to providing post-sale support, they toss you aside. FYI: This is not an old or used car. It's a relatively new vehicle that should not be experiencing these issues, making the lack of support even more unacceptable. Out of desperation, I called Capitaland Subaru at 47 Saratoga Rd, Scotia, NY 12302, (518) 399-9999. I explained to the receptionist what was happening with my car and how we were being treated at Goldstein Subaru. Upon hearing the situation, she responded, “We are booked and don’t have any loaner cars currently available, but can you please hold? I’m going to speak to my manager and see what we can do.” She returned and said, “Come in immediately, and we will have a loaner car ready for you. You should not be driving that car!” It’s ironic how Goldstein Subaru always has excuses, while Capitaland Subaru was ready to help immediately. I hope this post helps others in a similar situation avoid the frustration I’ve experienced with Goldstein Subaru. Update: June 21, 2024 Today, I called to request an emergency appointment because my car unexpectedly stopped working (computer system, everything just shut down in the middle of the highway)The representative I spoke with informed me that they couldn't schedule an emergency appointment. I explained that I urgently need my car for work, as I commute three hours each way, and asked for a loaner car until mine is fixed. Unfortunately, I was told that no loaner cars were available. When I bought my car, I was promised certain services, including loaner cars. It's frustrating that these services are unavailable when I need them most. I expressed my concerns to the representative, who responded dismissively, asking, "What do you want me to do?" I then requested to speak with a supervisor but received the same unhelpful response. This experience has been extremely disappointing, especially considering that I paid for services that were not delivered as promised. Given my interaction with the supervisor and customer service representative, it's clear they don't care. It's been a hard lesson for me, and as a result, I will not be making any further purchases from Subaru. They have lost a loyal customer.

Extremely disappointed....shop elsewhere!

I recently purchased a 2021 Crosstrex from this dealership. It was the third vehicle that I had purchased from this store and the fourth that I had purchased from a Goldstein dealership. The vehicle immediately had issues with the TPMS and pre-delivery damage to the engine insulation; why this wasn't checked out before is unknown to me. Twice now I have returned the vehicle to the dealership for repair, the last time was two weeks ago...the vehicle is still there! I have called the service department no less than four times leaving messages each time and no one has had the courtesy to return my call. What a nightmare this has been! What should have been something enjoyable, has been nothing but frustration. Needless to say, how can I ever trust this dealership again?

Service was provided at scheduled appointment time. Service technician was pleasant and professional. Nice Job!

Bought a second time here

Second time I bought here, I especially liked working with the salesman, Larry Dudley. The Forrester is great. Good staff, good selection of used cars, too.

Great Deal!!!!!

I worked out a deal with Aaron Butler on a 2019 Subaru Forester base listed at 25K and he helped my getting it down to 21,900. Then joe came in and did all the paper work and was very helpful through the whole process. I will be returning here for all of my maintenance and also when I’m ready to trade in for my next Subaru. Loved the place.

Friendly, warm, welcoming and worth a visit

Greetings worth visiting for. Walking into Goldstein Subaru (through the automatic front door, too👍🏼), I was welcomed pleasantly, immediately and with friendly faces that helped right away. Not the usual dealership entry experience—great! The showroom is large, bright, and well organized, not only with one of every Subaru model, but space to move and look around, too. Parking, entry, sales, service, and inventory. CHECK. Happy and warm welcome? Double check. Goldstein is worth a visit in this area, anytime! Highly recommended.

Great sales staff that will find your car

This place is as good as it gets, Larry Dudley, my sales guy, went above and beyond to make sure I got the car I was hoping to drive. No small feat when working within a budget. Also went above and beyond to track down a second key about a month after the sale. 5 stars for Goldstein

Switching it up

Dont go to Goldstein. They like to play games with their prices. Had a car listed at 10.9k and decided to switch it up on me after test driving it and bumped the price up 2k after they had to "put new parts in it" What they had it listed for originally when i test drove it should be the price honored. The sales lady knew my price limit. But they would not honor it. Would not budge. This is after I've been waiting days to see if another buyer was going to take it, wasting my time. Told me it was now available and by the way its 2k more. (mind you its listed at 11.9 online) manager acted like i was getting a deal. Quite the run around. Not family oriented. They do not care about customer satisfaction. Only money. On a 10 year old car.

Christina, We are very sorry about your experience. When you looked at the vehicle it had just been traded in and we listed an advertised price of $ 10,900. You did not buy the car on that visit. After you left another customer came in to buy the vehicle and wanted body and mechanical work completed so it was added to the price of the vehicle. That customer approved that price with the additional requests they had. Several days later you came back in and put a second deposit on the vehicle because we were waiting on financing for the first customer. Unfortunately it did not get approved. We did not play games with the pricing and we are sorry you feel that way. We try to put every deal that walks into our showroom together. Some are just more complicated than others.

Disappointed

In for warrantee service When they checked my wheel for brakes they left my calipers loose. Very dangerous. Staff in service dept sarcastic I had to go to my mechanic to tighten the calipers

who would ever think that shopping for a car could be such a good experience. Our salesperson, Amber, was absolutely the best! She was professional, very knowledgeable, and a really really sweet person. We love Goldstein and have spoken to many people about how well run this dealership is.
