RUN AWAY We bought a Sportage from them in 2017.
RUN AWAY We bought a Sportage from them in 2017. Initially things were okay, though they had a problem with double-booking appointments (the on-line system didn't talk to the system the service reps used) and it took them years to figure it out. In the last few years, like others, we've run into issues with dropping the car off and being told it wouldn't be ready that day because they weren't able to order the parts in time. That happened once on a Friday, so we were without the car for the weekend. Another time they ordered parts and I went in to have them installed 2 weeks later only to discover the service rep didn't work there anymore and they couldn't find the parts they'd ordered. We bought our daughter a used car there about a year ago and the salesman made a big deal about the great, brand new winter tires that were included. But when we went to a tire store to have "summer" tires put on they said the winter tires were shot and wouldn't pass inspection! I got a nice e-mail from the sales manager right after the purchase asking us to let hime know if he could be of any help, so I contacted him about the tires but never got a response. Brought the Sportage in about a month ago for routine service. They found an issue with the muffler that meant it didn't pass inspection but, of course, they had to order the part. They didn't make an appointment because they didn't know how long it would take for the parts to come in, but they said they'd contact me as soon as the parts arrived. I'm still waiting. Meanwhile, we've decided enough is enough and we're going to sell/trade the Sportage and never buy another Kia because of the way this dealership is run.

We bought a used Nissan Leaf from here last year.
We bought a used Nissan Leaf from here last year. The service was fine, although we had to deal with the usual used car haggling. We had to wait a week to pick up the car because they were working on the brakes. When we picked it up, we saw that there were 500 more miles on it than when we bought it! Very infuriating.

We had a 1:30pm appointment and had to drop the car off
We had a 1:30pm appointment and had to drop the car off the night before. We were told on the phone they would probably only need for 30 minutes. They never called with any updates or car is ready. They even leave for the day without updating their customers on vehicle status. Maybe they sell 2 many cars to give a xxxx. After owning 2 Kia’s they have been great cars however the service we have received we won’t be purchasing a 3rd one. Hello Burlington Hyundai!

Terrible customer service and mechanic work.
Terrible customer service and mechanic work. I bought a car with them in 2020 a Honda civic and they pushed me into buying a warranty with this vehicle. Anytime I get service there it takes weeks and they never know what's included under this warranty I HAD to have. It takes forever for them to do anything. My worst experience that just happened was I took my car there for an oil change and a winter to summer tire change over. The mechanic forgot to fasten the part that I think is called the splash guard after doing the oil change. After I left, by the time I got on the interstate it was catching wind and making a ton of noise. I pulled of at the rest stop and called them back. They said to drive it back to them and it would be fine to drive it. Thankfully at this point I took a picture of the part hanging down underneath showing the spot of missing fastenings. The sheet of metal that was flapping was as flimsy as tinfoil almost and by the time my car got back to them the piece had caught wind and curled up under the car into a ball of mess from hitting the pavement. At first they tried to say that this was all my fault That I must have hit something when i left here!!! Like what nerve!!!. They said the mechanic swears she fastened it. Well when they saw the photo they knew she hadn't. So now the aspect of getting the part fixed. It's been over a week for them to get the part, they finally just got me a rental (which was a huge fight), they say they will call me back, they don't, I usually have to call, message, text, multiple times before I hear back about what is going on with my vehicle. They act standoffish and that I am annoying. They told me on day one when this all happened the manager of the service center would call me. He has never called and I've requested to speak to him many times. I wouldn't buy a car here and I would definitely not get service done here. My warranty is almost over thank goodness. I will be going somewhere else from now on. Expecially for basic care.

I waited 4 weeks for my appointment.
I waited 4 weeks for my appointment. On the date of my appt. August 11, they had to order parts, on the 15th those parts were in and KIA service told me 1 to 2 days and it would be ready. I never heard back I called for 2 days and finally on the 3rd day I had to drive down to location to get answers regarding why the car wasn't completed. The GM would not speak with me and I had to speak with another. After explaining to him, the gentleman could not understand why my car wasn't repaired as wel, so he spoke to staff and said that I would not like what he found out. 1st they told him that it would be another week or 2 before they could get to it, and 2nd since I did not purchase the vehicle from that location that they take only those who bought from them first. Hence why I kept getting pushed back. No one I told this to could believe it, not even their counterpart Preston KIA in Montpelier VT. Unacceptable and unbelievable. They still have my car on there lot and parts on premises and still nothing has been done on it here it is Sept. 1, 2023. And I have left VM after VM for GM and the Service Manager and not one call back from anyone. What are they a bunch of kindergartners. They have my car of course they have to talk to me. So no resolution.

Be careful of this dealership.
Be careful of this dealership. We saw a used car on their lot online advertised at one price and then when we went in the salesman said it was several thousand more. We pointed out the online price. He acted totally surprised. He went into a story about the General Manager 100 percent must have made a mistake and the mistake would be corrected by tomorrow but they would let us have it for the online price. Well the next day the price was the same. Still over market value. Sleazy.

GO ELSEWHERE August 1, 2023 By Lisa from South
GO ELSEWHERE August 1, 2023 By Lisa from South Burlington, VT Awful service. My husband brought my car in to have my winter tires taken off and the summer tires put on. When the work was done, the tire sensor warning light was on; the staff told him to just drive the car 50 miles and it would go off. After 50 miles it did not go off, so I called Berlin city Kia 3 times and left messages and no one called me back. I called a 4th time and spoke with the service manager who assured me they would fix anything that they caused free of charge. I took my car in for them to fix the tire sensor and turn off the warning light and they called me later and were very condescending and basically said they were charging me $200 to fix it because they don’t believe they caused it. Interesting that I never had a problem with this until leaving their place after they serviced my car. I also emailed the general manager about how unhappy I was with their service and he never responded. A total scam. Their condescending attitude, unresponsiveness, unwillingness to own up to their errors and unethical business practices definitely do not align with their “worry free” mission statement.

We had an appointment with Berlin City to have a "new"
We had an appointment with Berlin City to have a "new" radio put in our Sorento on May 10th. Since we live nearly 2 hours from them, I decided to call them today, the 9th, to make sure we were good to go but lo and behold, the radio never got ordered. We received several e-mails since April 20th when we gave them the go to order and install the radio. We ended up calling Garvey KIA in New York and they gave us a price of $370 to install a refurbished radio because they said a new radio could run several thousand dollars. This tells us the price of $323 for a radio to be installed was not for a new radio like they made it sound but a used radio, which they were never going to tell us. People, please watch this dealership and have the quote explained so you really know what you are getting. In this case, Garvey KIA will be getting our business in the future, NOT Berlin City!

Best Salesman
Josh from Berlin City Kia was amazing at finding exactly what we were looking for in a vehicle. He was very informative, concise, and quick. There is nothing worse when car hunting to sit at a dealership for 3-6 hrs only to find it’s not going to work for you. He made sure we were comfortable, attended to and seems to be a very warm and friendly family man. I’ve dealt with salespeople who after you sign on that dotted line thy disappeared leaving you with questions on your new vehicle. He made sure we knew what we were getting.
