Bought a vehicle here just over a year ago.

Bought a vehicle here just over a year ago. As part of the deal, they threw in 2 free oil changes. Living 1.5 hours away, this wasn’t a great situation, but at least better than nothing, and gave us a chance to get up to Spokane. First oil change went fine with no issues, although it certainly wasn’t a short process. Had a baby before the second oil change which was scheduled at 11am on a weekday (also an annoyance I didn’t realize, as they aren’t open on weekends). Brought the vehicle in at the scheduled time, and they said they wouldn’t get to it until after lunch. Annoying but fine, said it wouldn’t be done until around 3 (for an oil change that was scheduled over a week in advance??). Get a text later that it won’t be done until 5. Go to pick the vehicle after waiting for hours, and they say that they will not honor the “free” oil change as over 12 months had passed and the offer had expired.. oil changes are supposed to be 6 month intervals (or mileage, which we hadn’t reached), so what kind of fine print is that?? In the end, my wife had to devote 6 hours of her day plus 3 hours of driving (1.5 hrs of which with an infant crying in the back on the dark journey home since the service took so long) for a simple oil change. Highly disappointed in this dishonest dealership; we will not be going back and I highly recommend you avoid them as well. It’s a shame, as the Mazda vehicle has been nice.

Very good experience.

Very good experience. Brian is a great person as well as salesman. No pressure at all. Answered every question we had. Finance found us a great finance company and loan rate. Payment was $100 per month less than we expected to pay.

WARNING FROM A CUSTOMER

This is one of the last places I would shop in Spokane, the car I bought a Buick with wunder 80k miles drove great on the test drive the salesman guided us on. Did not notice we were making all left turns, kinda made sense if we were going back where we started. It was a cash sale. We got off the lot and headed home, more left turns most of the way. The very first right turn we hear the tire rubbing the frame as we turned right at the four way stop. It was getting late so we called the next day. We were told the salesman had the next couple of days off and he would contact us, did not happen and three days later we started calling daily. Never was able make contact and when we talked to a manager we were told even though they had a service department that they did not do that kind of work. End of story. The warranty we were sold also did not cover this type of issue. End of story was you paid cash and your warranty does not cover this and they washed their hands of us. Fast-forward to this year, my son goes to this dealership and finds the car he has decided he wants, period (19 year old and first car). It is also just a couple years old with low mileage for about 12K. Nice looking, clean and had options. He had just gotten an inheritance from his grandma and paid cash with a basic warranty. His issue came about while driving home from work on Division St neare the Spokane river. While driving in the car right lane the car suddenly cuts out and dies. Fortunately we put him on our AAA and after nearly being rear-ended they come tow the car to my house where it sits while we make call after call to the dealership. After he gave up I started calling This time I managed to make contact with the salesman who I was informed was the manager. After speaking with me he says he will talk to warranty people and get back to us. He had bouth our numbers and never returned a call to either of us. When I finally went to the dealership in person I was told he would not be back for most of a week so I left. I came back once he should have been back and was told he was not working a week later nobody seemed to know who he was. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WOULD HAVE BETTER LUCK WITH ONE THE GYPSY DEALERSHIPS ON SPRAGUE. AND NEVER NEVER BUY OUTRIGHT FROM THEM WITH CASH. OH AND PICK YOUR OWN ROUTE WHEN TEST DRIVING. THIS DEALERSHIP IS SCANDALOUS.

Poor communication. Unfriendly atmosphere. Physical plant is dated and worn. Cliché sales tactics and general lack of courtesy and enthusiasm. Ill informed sales people who promised to provide information and didn't follow through. Tried to negotiate a cash deal and couldn't get a bottom line price or even an email reply follow-up. Complained and got excuses. Only Mazda dealership in town, so maybe they think they don't have to try? Took my business to Pasco dealership and got professional and reliable treatment.

Foothills Mazda Service PLEASE BE CAUTIOUS! My Mom who is almost 80 went to Foothills Service for her 2013 Mazda3 that she bought there brand new in 2012. Since then she has acquired 15k miles. Yes that's correct 15k miles in almost 8 1/2 years. She had not been out of the house driving since Covid hit in Feb. A week ago she scheduled an apt for service saying she hadn't driven for a while and wanted them to "look the car over". Since new she always took the car to the dealer even when service wasn't do. I know cars that don't get driven much still need service on some things. But this time when I asked her about her service apt I was shocked! Over $850 on a car with 15k miles. I wont list everything done but if it was recommended to her it was done with her consent because she said they wouldn't tell me something needed to be done if it didn't. Well I beg to differ on what was done to her car with 15k miles. A few things they could have done for around 250-300 maybe, but 850??? They performed and did thing that were absolutely NOT needed. But like I said Does it really need it?? Well we recommend it.. If any of you have ever been to a service center, they recommend the moon and back. The difference between one you can Trust and one you can't is where honest Service Tech's come in play and wont take advantage of you if your male, female, elderly etc. The service Tech she had for the previous 8 years was honest and that's who I thought she was dealing with, but she said he's not there anymore. I complained to the Service Manager Scott today when I had knowledge of this unfortunate event. I will update if anything is offered or done to what I feel was someone taking advantage of an Elderly person. Hopefully this is a isolated incident. But if its not...Please be weary. This whole thing sickens me.

I brought my 2018 Mazda CX-5 for routine maintenance, an oil change and tire rotation. While there, the service department suggested additional routine maintenance, as I was at 50k. Fair enough. Everything seemed professional and straight forward...until they gave me my vehicle back. My CX-5 was returned with an overwhelming stench of gasoline in the cab. Neither my partner nor I could breath. I brought my vehicle back to address their lack of QA, I mean who thinks a cab full of gasoline stench is a way to return a customers vehicle? So it goes back in and their mechanic dumps some toilet smelling chemical under my hood. It made the vehicle's interior smell like a porta-potty or urinal cake, especially when I turn on they vents. They said the smell would go away. After a week of waiting for the stench to go away, brought my CX-5 back and they lightly washed the engine. It's been over a month since I've been there. My CX-5 still smells like a urinal cake or porta-potty when I turn on the air intake for my vents. The Service Manager checked it out, said he didn't smell anything, but he himself reeked of aftershave and cologne. My partner, and others who have been in my CX-5 can smell it, and this whole situation sucks. This dealership ruined my normal enjoyment of my two year old 2018 CX-5, I came to them without issues, and I left with issues they created. They have lousy QA, I think their mechanic was the culprit (I had California plates), and the air coming into my vehicle stinks every time I turn on my vents now. I wish I never took my vehicle to this Mazda dealership. You guys suck.

Great Dealership

Drove from Montana to Foothills Mazda and was not disappointed. The staff is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They made the buying process enjoyable. I worked with Tom B and Tom S. Both were exceptional salesman. They told me everything I needed to know about the options on my 2019 Mazda CX-3 and were very personable. I highly recommend this dealership! Great experience!

DRIVE A HORSE AND BUGGY INSTEAD.

Talked with Russell in sales. Very old school salesmanship, rude, condescending, obnoxious, just for starts. Acted as if he was the only one in town with the car. FYI- took my business to South Tacoma Mazda and have a new car. Ownership of this dealership is producting and in encouraging this attitude in talking with other dealerships, FYI.
